Pros: In general I like how clean and modern Holiday Inn Express’s are; and totally love that they change the bedspread between each guest.
Cons: Room was a bit stuff airflow wise- and window not appealing to open as was on a busy road with noise.
Location: Was confusing to get to driving- but with a GPS and patience, you’ll make it.
Everything I expected in an airport hotel. Restaurant on site, shuttle to airport; laundry; helpful staff; modern clean room; free wireless.

Trainspotters beware
Posted Jan 25, 2013
I chose this hotel for a bad reason, namely that on a map it seemed close to, and within walkable distance of, the New Jersey Transit and Amtrak Newark International Airport railway station. This is a snare and a delusion, as this station has no public access except from a monorail feeding off the airport. Thus in order to access the station from the hotel (for trips into Manhattan) and vice-versa, it was necessary to return to the airport by shuttle bus each time, a tedious and time-consuming business. This aside, the hotel was a typical American Holiday Inn, efficient, clean and pretty comfortable. The Wi-Fi didn't work too well in the room, but at the Business Centre downstairs it was fine.

Hotel not easy to find.

The address that expedia gives you is not the correct address, it takes you to empty field/track trains.

Unnecessary problems.

Pros: nice bar, decent food.
Cons: Front desk inflexible.
Location: fine. At airport.
NEEDED TO DROP OFF MY LUGGAGE EARLY IN THE MORNING TO RETURN LATE IN THE EVENING. WOULD NOT CHECK ME IN BECAUSE NO ROOM WAS READY. WOULD NOT HAVE MY LUGGAGE DELIVERED TO MY ROOM BEFORE I CAME BACK. When i returned, I was given a handicap accessible room with a very low shower head and closet bar. No other room available, (even though I had first arrived at 9AM.) Room was ground floor right on parking lot. Truck parked right below my window after I was asleep, and occupants exited speaking loudly enough to wake me. The parking space is a foot below the window. It should be marked off. no one should have to sleep right next to this. I feel bad for disabled people who have no choice.

Disappointing shuttle service
Posted Jan 20, 2013
Cons: Terrible food, I know this is to be expected but really was bad
I paid $170 for a room. In my opinion the hotel should provide a bottle of water in the room for this price, especially as there is no minibar for convenience. It worked out pointless staying there before our 7am flight. We thought it would save time in the morning but we had to wait for the shuttle (can't book, just have to show up, we ended up waiting 15 mins) then they drop you off at the air train which is a 10 min drive, not your terminal! By the time you add waiting for airtrain (5 mins) and journey, it took us 40 mins. If I had known this I would've booked a hotel in Manhatten and made the quick journey in a taxi instead. Hugely disappointed with the shuttle service.

Newark Airport Business Hotel

One of my reasons for staying there was that it has a shuttle to the airport. I was leaving Wednesday and returning Friday, so I requested a rate for leaving my car in their parking lot for those two and a half days. They quoted my $80 which was far in excess of the prevailing rate at all the competing lots. I was disappointed.

Pros: bed
Cons: staff
Location: next to airport
Nice room. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Route 1 is a little noisy but the hotel itself was very quiet. Hotel looks nice inside.
