Hotel is convenient if your purpose is a layover after a flight at newark or if you have an early flight. Otherwise it is in the middle of nowhere and there is no restaurant in the hotel.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at the Hampton inn Newark airport. We are a Hilton property, however if you book on a third party you don't get the same benefits as you would if you were to book directly with Hilton. I do Apologize that you felt as if our service and staff was rude, we tried our best to get you checked in however your card wasn't going through and restarted all our credit card pads therefore it took longer to get you all checked in. Once again, I do apologize on behalf of our staff. Thank you for staying with us. And we do appreciate you feedback!

The room was lovely although suffering from too little light. But, no restaurants in the area, only way to find food is to order in or hire Uber. Totally not nice when weather is inclement and you are tired and hungry. My fault, I should have found a hotel that had a restaurant.

It was okay to be near the airport, that said, it was rather confusing to get to the airport from this location. The rooms were really nice! The breakfast was on point, with a nice variety to choose. 5 stars! The front desk staff, was okay at best. I needed to extend one night, and after some erroneous pointers given by them on how to do so, they reacted defensive and dismissive. I managed to figure it out myself.

I left a black wallet at the hotel by accident. It contained a lot of personal information, including a social security card, IDs, credit cards and cash. I called six times in one day to try and relocate the wallet so i could make my cross country flight. Every time i called they placed me on hold, transferred me and would not help whatsoever. I missed my flight completely and had to pay hundreds of dollars to reschedule the flight due to not having any identity. I finally got ahold of someone days later and they simply said they didn't have it. I like to give benefit of the doubt but it was the last place I had my wallet as I used it to check in and pay my deposit. Whoever stole it has attempted to open credit cards, used my credit cards, stolen all my cash and caused a huge amount of stress for me. I like to think this would have been prevented if the staff had just responded in a timely manner. My flight was at 7am. No guests were checking in, they were not cleaning rooms and overall were not busy. They could have helped and prevented this. I now have to involve the Newark police for theft and fraud. Horrible experience
