great location; filthy hotel

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: nearly everything including wi fi strength
nice staff but gross hotel and crazy loud "cleaners" in the hallways yelling in Mandarin from 7:30am-10am. Put lotion in shower with shampoo - no conditioner to be found

Dear Ann, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your experience at our hotel. The problems you mentioned with our housekeeping team and in-room amenity supplies have been addressed. We appreciate you bringing this to us and we hope you will give our property a second chance if you return to the area. We would really love to have you back so we can show you what our warm hospitality is all about.

Perfect location and welcoming staff

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The staff and the location: 10 / 10 on both
Cons: It was all great.
Location: Le Parigot (French bistro) - prix fixe menu; happy hour; delicious food. Lombardi Pizza in Little Italy, Circa cigar bar, Jack's Wife Freda for brunch
I was at the Holiday Inn Soho for 3 nights / 4 days and have only praise for the staff, the location and the hotel. I had read that some people complained about street noise, but I was on the 10th floor and had no problem with it. It is very close to the subway and just as in any city with a subway, you will feel the vibration of the trains a bit during the day and evening but late at night it is very quiet. William, the manager, Oksana, the desk clerk, and the doormen / concierge were all extremely helpful, accomodating and friendly. Right across the street we had a wonderful meal at Le Parigot and we were a 5 minute walk to Little Italy, great Soho bars and restaurants, and Chinatown. Three subway lines are within a block or two so you can go all over the city. There is a 24 hour pharmacy not far away and a small grocery store and liquor store on the street behind the hotel, so basically, you have everything you need. Not to mention that New York is the best.

Good hotel close to several towns

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and location.
Cons: Elevator should work a little better.
Location: Perfect location. Wlaking distiance to Soho bars and restaurants, China Town, Little Italt and a 5 minute drive across the Manhattan Bridge to stores.
Holiday Innwas indeed a central hotel. We wanted to be able to see China Town . Little Italy and general Soho. It was $2.75 by subway to Times Square. Soho has some great spots to hang out and eat. Shopping was also good as there were deals in many areas. Hotel was very clean and comfortable.
