“Not Impressed”

Unfortunately, I did not have a GPS to locate the hotel which was very difficult to locate even with a map. I contacted the reception desk for directions, but that did not help. It actually took me an hour to find it. Upon arrival, there was no receptionist at the desk. They left instuctions to dial extention to another room. I asked if they could transfer my reservation to another one of their hotels. His response was that I would have to pay more money. The first room key he gave me was for a room on the 3rd floor which was already occupied. I then had to go back downstairs (with luggage) and was issued another key on the 3rd floor (accross the hall). When exiting the eleavator the whole floor smelled like a ciggarette factory. The room was clean and fresh. However, the bed sunk in the middle and was uncomfortable. The TV only had basic cable (about 20 channels). I would not reccommend this hotel.

“Great location for Jets game”

Don't expect anything other than a nights sleep. We stayed here to be close to the Jets game. Parking was $30.00, we had to walk next door to the Sheraton to catch the shuttle to the stadium which was $5.00 each way. The stadium is across the highway but its a business 6 lane dangerous road. The hotel doesn't offer any thing extra.

“Bad Deal”

Terrible service, no one there, no one answers, and if they were around which was rare did not know anything. The room was not equipped with standard items such as shampoo and soap. Bad deal for the money. They did not even know about taxis for service one mile away. Not worth the money!

“Not Impressed”

Getting to the hotel entrance is hard, it says its on Route 3 but its actually on the service road and you can not enter from Route 3. There were large holes in the carpet, mold aroind the tub, dingy towels. Room was not very clean at all upon arrival. I am an engineer for Marriott so I know what hotel rooms should look like. I would not stay here again.

“Homey place to stay”

I felt at home at Homestead Suites. The staff was very attentive. It didn't feel like I was staying in a strange place. Overall I liked it and would stay there again. We were right across the road from the Metlife Stadium where the Giants and Jets play. My son-in-law was so very excited about that fact.

“It was OK for what I asked for”

The hotel was good. The room was clean and the staff was friendly enough. My stay would have been awesome if they would have given me a ride to the nearest train station.

“Missing Items”

We arrived to find that the room was missing quite a few items. It was a smoking room but there were no ashtrays. There was coffee but only one mug. There was no sugar or cream. There was no shampoo or conditioner. I had to go to the desk and ask for all these items. We were told by the desk clerk that we could walk to the IZOD center over the bridge. When we walked down there, there was no way to do this safely. We ended up driving over (which cost me parking). The original reason for booking this hotel was the distance from IZOD. I was informed it was walking distance. Although this was true, there is no way to safely walk there. All-in-all the hotel staff took care of our needs but the room should have had the necessary items prior to our arrival.

“Great place for an extended stay.”

Great price for a hotel so close to the city, especially if you book through Expedia & save about 30% over regular room rates. Each room has kitchen with full size refrigerator, stovetop & microwave. Guest laundry room on premises. They only do maid service on a weekly basis or between guests, but you can get towels & tp from office. Very economical way to travel!
