Cost effective Hotel in mid-town

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: It was clean and comfortable
Cons: It is what it is, very small room and bathroom, minimal amenities, but clean and a good night sleep.
Location: Next door to the Empire State Building
It is all about a place to sleep. There is no lobby to speak of and the rooms are very small. Happy my wife was not with me because 2 people in the room would have been very cramped.

Great Location

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Cosy clean rooms and great staff
Cons: Windows could do with being updated to thicker noise reducing glass but if you get a room set back from 5th Ave it's not as bad,
Location: Loads to do nearby, breakfast at evergreen diner on 42nd street was really nice
Excellent hotel, rooms are small as it is a boutique hotel however that is definitely not a bad thing as the room was cosy very clean and very comfortable to be honest when in New York I'm not planning spending much time in the room. The staff at this hotel are amazing and can't do enough for you they are available 24/7 and are very helpfull.

Fabulous location.... :)

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Pleasant & polite staff. Clean rooms & daily change of towels. Centrally located for sightseeing.
Location: Empire State Building is just across the road. Loads of big named shops a block away on 34th St. Grand Central Station a few blocks down :)
Stayed for 5 nights & hotel is very basic. There is only a reception desk in lobby & nowhere to sit but Starbucks is attached so can sit in there !! We were booked into room 206 right over Starbucks so could smell coffee from 6.00am...Would of been OK if I was getting up for work but not on holiday. Got moved after 2 nights to room 609 ...do not have this room as it's right at the front and really really noisy :( One night we had roadworks all night long!!! But saying that the hotel is centrally located for sightseeing. The rooms are very small but we expected to live out of suitcase! Bathroom was ok and the toilet lid wouldn't stay up either :(. Room was cleaned, towels changed daily and hotel on the whole was generally quiet :). Resturant next door does a great breakfast especially the pancakes & sausage, egg in a English muffin. A must is the Sun/Stars ticket at the Top of the Rock and the circle line ferry which takes you all around Manhatten ...it's an over 2 hours boat trip but well worth it. Also, we got cheap tickets for Motown in Times Square at the TKS stand. Really loved New York and can't wait to return!!!

Close to Empire State Building

Posted Oct 26, 2014
Close to some things in midtown like Empire State Building and Times Square. Room was super tiny, very cramped. Only one elevator which was really slow in the morning. Take that into account when planning your day, travel time. Car service was called by front desk for us, quoted $55 total, tip included, to go to La Guardia, cab driver tried to charge us an extra $12 for "tolls" which were only $7.50 even if they weren't included in the set price of $55. Overall nice hotel in midtown if you don't want to spend a lot of time in your room. No ice bucket, vending, computer center, etc like other hotel chains. Just a basic hotel room.

Good location in midtown.

Posted Oct 23, 2014
Pros: Location and the linens were lush.
Location: Empire State Building is just down the block. You can walk just about anywhere, including the theatre district, from there.
Hotel 373 is clean, fairly quiet and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are small but cozy and the marble bathrooms are a nod to the period of the building. The best part is Starbucks right off the lobby!
