Convenient and homely

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Location, convenience and friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing
Arrived late due to a problem with the flights, upon arrival the porters took our cases from our taxi and took them to our room whilst we checked in. The room was just what we wanted. With a close proximity to two subway stations we were in Times Square in under 10 minutes. The breakfast bar was well stocked and catered for my needs. Overall a lovely hotel and well worth the stay.

Nice Hotel in great area

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Pros: We had a Parlor Suite which was perfect for myself and grown up grand daughter ( Sofa bed made up in lounge so we had our own rooms)
Location: Great and Safe location lots of good eating places within easy walking distance.
great and helpful staff - $100 went missing from room when we forgot to lock safe (our fault) A shame they didn't like serving my morning coffee in the Lobby area in proper cups rather than take away paper ones - managed it one morning!!!!

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: The friendliness and the location also the size not a tower block
Cons: The looby only had one rest room which was also the disabled toilet and a que formed on departure day people getting changed etc prior to flight home
Location: Good location 5min Metro , 15min walk Central Park . restraunts & Irish bar near National History Museum 2 Blocks
Nice friendly hotel . The staff were all wellcoming and informative nothing was too much trouble very approachable . The location was perfect for us just far enough away from the hustle and bustle , a short walk to Central Park ,the Metro one block away , comfy and clean great to use as a base when visiting New York

Quiet location

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Clean and well furnished
Cons: Noisy, uncontrollable aircon - no quiet night time setting.
Nice hotel, quiet location two blocks from Central Park although maybe a bit too far uptown - lots of metro journeys needed, station 10 minutes away. Couple of good places for breakfasts nearby.

Nice hotel, convenient situation

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: I liked the ambiance.
Cons: A kettle in the room would be nice. I would have liked to be able to make a cup of tea.
Location: The underground (subway) station is only 2 blocks away, but it is also possible to walk across Central Park to a number of Museums.
The hotel has all the necessary facilities, albeit at extra cost. It is clean and has a nice atmosphere.

Nice hotel! Great location & access to subway

Loved the hotel, amenities and proximity to Central Park and easy to get to subway. Right off of Broadway and 77th. Recommended for sure! Great price too!

Shows age

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Nice location
Cons: Replace window A/Cs with newer, quieter units.
The hotel is refurbished, but it shows age. Walls/windows seem paper thin, although staff was very helpful with unruly guests. Window air conditioner was old, noisy and moldy, sending air with less than pleasant smell into the room.

spot on hotel

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Clean and tidy, friendly staff, great location.
Cons: No improvements needed
Location: Great location. Close to the subway, shops and restaurants. Central park was only 10 mins walk and the river Hudson was only a 5 mins walk.
Perfect location. Subway 2 mins walk, 10 mins walk to central park, 5 mins walk to the Hudson for great views across the river and ideal for walks. Pharmacy across the street and plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Staff were very friendly. I was always greeted and the door was always held open for me. Free cold drinks in the lobby was also a nice touch. Hotel room was fairly small but was very clean and tidy. On my second day the air-con packed in. I reported this to reception and within 30 mins it was up and running again. I would definitely recommend this hotel and when i visit New York again i will be staying here.
