Where's the hotel???

The building that houses this hotel is under construction. The hotel is on the second floor with literally NO advertising or sign letting you know where the hotel is. When the taxi dropped me off and I walked in off the street, I was sure I had been scammed!!! A sign at the entrance welcoming me to the hotel by name and saying "pardon our appearance, please take the elevator to our pristine lobby and reception center on the second floor" would have helped prevent a panic attack and lots of stress upon arrival!! The phone service was also ineffective...it was impossible to call and arrange for shuttle service ( which ended up being out if service anyway) the desk clerk seemed unsympathetic and unconcerned about my arrival experience or phone issue as well. The room was beautiful but the arrival experience was so stressful it didn't matter.

Very nice inside! Hotel was clean with courteous and flexible staff. I recommend staying there, but be prepared to have transportation other than city supported systems for immediate travel; shuttles and Metro may or may not be available at times.

The worst experience ever!

Pros: nothing
I flew late in to JFK and when I went to the hotel they said they had a computer problem and the gave away my room! It was 12:30 AM. They offered me a room in another hotel that did not have parking and I had to pay to park my car.

Pros: Clean room, clean bathroom! Market downstairs, great view on the rooftop!! decent breakfast but after 4 days I was getting tired of eggs n sausage!!
Cons: The seating in the breakfast are is terrible.
Overall our experience was good. Thw building itself is not your typical looking hotel.Looks more like a factory or industrial type building that has been converted into a hotel.The neighborhood is a little seedy but I didn't feel"threatened"

Air conditioner very loud

One must call in order to get free shuttle. So when u called I was told 10 minutes. After calling a few times I was told 35 minutes later that the shuttle was busy that they were sending me a taxi right away. That took another 20minutes. That evening a very nice receptionist ordered me a taxi for the next day. She called me an hour later to reconfirm. The next day I was told by the guy behind the desk that when the taxi arrive they would call me. After waiting 25 minutes passed the time Tge taxi wax to arrive I went to the front desk and was told by a different employee that no taxi was ever ordered for me. The room was clean but the air condition unit made a huge noise. It felt like I was still on a plane. I was told by the reception desk that all the rooms on one side of the building make thst noise. The gym is located in a different building. The continental breakfast was good.

Pros: customer service was the best. The continental breakfast was great.
Cons: the air quality in the rooms was poor if we had stayed for many nights then this would have been an issue
Overall very pleasant stay. The customer service was top notch. My daughter left a plastic necklace behind and was upset about it. The housekeeping staff went into our room right away and found the necklace for her. They held it aside until we returned for our car. We left our car there for a week and it was a breeze picking it up it. The shuttle back and fourth to the airport was very timely. I would definitely stay here again . They had the best continental breakfast.
