Better than expectedPosted Jan 13, 2014
Don't judge a book by its cover also applies to hotels. This hotel is a lot better than the outside. The room though smaller than others was highly comfortable with many new modern features.

Limited airport shuttle servicePosted Jan 7, 2014
Booked this hotel during Winter storm 2014 while flight cancelled at LGA. Selected this hotel as Expedia website states complimentary airport shuttle. Not the case. Limited hours only and does not start until after 9am. Informed that taxi fare $10-15 by front desk. Actual fare $25-35 each way.

Great place great staff!!Posted Dec 29, 2013
I stood dec 27 to 28 2013. Was the best hotel in queens. First time there and I will go back. The staff is excellent and the hotel is modern and super clean. The roof top bar was super and the bartender Alex was so nice and polite. The view was great. I can't wait to go back. Also u get free breakfast and wifi and parking. It's a great hotel.;-))

I thought the room was comodious, clean and well appointed. The climate controls made for a lot of background noise which made it difficult to adjust.

Nice - new Hotel -Posted Oct 18, 2013
The hotel is new and it has nice overall styling as shown by the photos which are accurate. It is one of the newest hotels which are close to LaGuardia Airport. There is no gym or fitness center at the hotel, there is a pool attached but it is separately owned and operated.

Interesting hotel in an unexpected areaPosted Oct 13, 2013
Pros: I liked the modern/futuristic aesthetic, pretty much everything white & modular. The 47" LCD on the wall was pretty impressive in the smallish rooms.
Cons: Desk staff not particularly pleasant, try being nicer to your guests.
Location: Above a shopping mall, in the middle of College Point. Near the Whitestone Bridge just off of 678. Plenty of stuff not too far away.
First of all, the location was a surprise to me - 20th Ave wasn't where I was expecting to find this hotel. It's on top of a Chinese shopping mall, so you can top up on bok choi before checking in. The decor was in a clean, modern/futuristic style, which I found pretty cool. The lobby and corridors were done nicely, the small rooms sparse but functional - the shower was very nice. There was a huge HD TV on the wall, which was hard to get away from -when it was on, the other side of the room was barely far enough back. Nice centerpoint for the room though. The Chinese desk clerk that checked us in was very nice, the local female clerks not so much. We extended our stay by one night, got a nasty surprise by the 'new' rate, having to haggle with the manager to get something not too much higher than before. Not very nice. All in all, not too bad, seems vastly overpriced for the rates quoted at the desk but ok if you find a better rate online. Surroundings not great perhaps, but interesting once inside, cool design if you like that sort of thing, and very pleasant breakfast up on the roof.

Place needs to pull it togetherPosted Oct 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Let's start with the positives: The bed is great. Firm, comfortable. The linens are clean. The bathroom was clean. The neighborhood was residential. Fine. I never got to experience the Asian market below the restaurant because of my hours, but would have. Now the rest: There are NO curtains on the windows in the room. Gauzy screens and that's it. I called the desk and they said the rooms with curtains are reserved for flight crews coming in from LaGaurdia that need to sleep during the day. "Why not the other rooms?" "That's the way the hotel was designed." I'm sorry, this is inexcusable. They offered to change my room, but I didn't do it because I was getting up early. Then, the shower is designed in such a way that you HAVE to get splashed when you turn it on. There is no way around it because you can't reach the knobs without being in the shower. Bad. Who wants a cold blast ever time? The worst: On Saturday night, I returned from work to my room and MY DOOR WAS OPEN. Thank God nothing had been stolen, but, really? That is unacceptable? Did they do anything to make it up to me? No. They said a manager would call me the following day. No one ever did. The place is OK. I will not be returning.

Could be better, could be worsePosted Sep 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is very much an Asian hotel. The bottom floor has an Asian supermarket, and when we tried to go to the hotel bar, the bartender didn't understand English too well. It was a surprise to us so I thought other people should know. That being said, our room was very nice and the front desk staff was super sweet and helpful. It was quiet and relaxing. The attractions within the hotel were pretty lame but there are worse things. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you like to walk around- the neighborhood is pretty ghetto. There are 'no standing at any time' signs all over. We had an unpleasant encounter walking back to the hotel and if we come again, we will pay for a taxi instead. Fun stuff to do nearby: Sal's Italian restaurant (amazing food for a great price and awesome customer service. The lobster ravioli with vodk sauce is mindblowingly good), 7th gear bar, dunkin donuts.

VERY NICE, AN UNEXPECTED WONDERPosted Sep 20, 2013
Pros: THE ROOM WE GREAT AND THE DESK WAS THE ADDED BONUS!
Cons: LAUNDRY. THEY HAVE A COMPANY THAT WORKS OUT OF THE BUILDING. WHY CAN THEY NOT USE THEM TO HELP THE RENTERS?
Location: GREAT LOCATION FOR ME.
THIS HOTEL FROM THE OUTSIDE HAD A LOT TO DESIRE. IT WAS NOT LOOKING GOOD FOR ME WHEN I WAS GOING INTO THE LOBBY OF THE HOTEL. WHEN I GET HERE IT IS LIKE BEING BEAMED TO ANOTHER WORLD. IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL LOBBY AND THE SERVICE WAS GOOD. WHEN I GOT TO THE HOTEL ROOM, IT WAS COMFORTABLE AN ROOMY! I COULD LIVE IN THAT ENVIRONMENT. GOOD MAID SERVICE TOO.
