小ぶりで古いホテル

Posted May 21, 2015

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. The staff was great and so was the room, and the complimentary happy hour was awesome! Only thing that could be improved is a more comfortable bed.

Classic boutique hotel with great history

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: The ambiance, location, staff, history and small, boutique character
Cons: On occassion, had to wait for the one & only elevator, but that's it!
Location: 54th street, one block from 5th. Great location. Also close to 2 different subway stations (we still travel by subway whenever possible).
We have always wanted to stay at the Elysee and decided it was finally time AND we weren't disappointed. Right from the start, when we were upgraded to a suite, the experience was excellent. The suite was very large, quiet and comfortable (and well equipted). The staff was always present and helpful. They concurred with our choice for dinner across the street (Cellinis) and we were very satisfied. The very liberal and lengthy free wine and coffee in the lounge each evening was great and the staff had no concerns about us inviting friends not staying at the hotel to join us. Location is very good for walking, buses, cabs or the subway. This place has character and I would definitely stay there again and have already recommended it to friends.

Excellent, friendly smaller NYC hotel

Posted Apr 23, 2015
We have become regulars here, based on the overall quality and location of the Élysee and particularly for its value given these factors. An excellent continental style breakfast in the morning and hosted wine and cheese every day from 5 to 8 pm add to the value for those so inclined. Staff is friendly in a sincere way and provides excellent service. Other guests are generally friendly, interesting and more mature age wise. Also there are free passes to the NY Sports Club, which is about 5 blocks away and fully equipped. Much preferred by the writer to the limited hotel fitness room. See you next time at this hotel when we are back in the Big Apple.

Wir waren von dem Hotel Elysée begeistert.

Pros: Der Charme des Hotels!
Location: 5 the Avenue, Central Park, Moma, einfach zentral gelgen!

Very nice hotel and staff

Posted Apr 1, 2015
We recently stayed here and the staff were very welcoming. The room was a good size, but the bathroom was a bit small but fine for what we needed. The breakfast was good and was enough to see us through the day. All the girls who served us were excellent and very friendly, who couldn't do enough for you. The free drinks and nibbles were very welcome from 5pm until 8pm. The front facing room was a bit noisy from about 5am onwards. Probably no different from any other hotel in the city. The desk and lobby staff were also very helpful. Giving us information about restaurants and helping to book our return car. Overall this was a very nice, clean and comfortable hotel in a good location with excellent staff, in which I would stay again.

Terrific boutique hotel in a great location.

Pros: It felt like spending time in an elegant European home with friends. An intimate feel about it. Excellent location convenient to theatre and shopping
Location: Lots of great classic restaurants nearby. Easy walking distance to the theatre, MOMA, Rockefeller Center, and subways to take you anywhere in town.
Staff is excellent. European feel about this lovely place. Monkey Bar is added attraction. Felt pampered and well served in this historic hotel. Just recently discovered this gem, but it won't be the last time we stay here.
