This is a low amenities hotel. No in-room phone.

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Clean. Had all you need
Cons: Add a telephone
Location: Only 10 minutes walk from Times Square or subway.
Other than no-phone hotel was fine. price was much better than any full service hotel. you get what you pay for. Hotel was very good for the relative cost in central New York city.

Compact room no frills.

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Close to Times Square, midtown Manhattan.
Cons: The TV would not turn off properly, had a glow from it all night.
Location: The location is just a few blocks from Times Square.. Plenty of restaurants & eating places close by. What to do in New York? Everything.
Easy to find, security code needed at door, which made it a little difficult to get in the first time. The price was reasonable for the location, only a few blocks from Times Square. No frills hotel, free Wifi was the only extra provided. A small, fully equipped kitchen was a bonus.

The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a nice quiet hotel within walking distance from great restaurants, Times Square, and the subway. We stayed there with our two kids and thought it was very safe and just perfect for our budget.

Cheap hotel in a decent location.

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: The location and price was great! It felt less like a chain hotel.
Cons: The rooms are small because the building is small. The air conditioning could be fixed so it wouldn't have to constantly run to keep the room cool.
Location: The hotel is in Hell's Kitchen in a residential area - there are several great, small restaurants within a few blocks.
The hotel was cheap and available and near the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, where we were attending a convention. The room, however, was small and the air conditioner could not keep the room cool enough to be comfortable at night. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We inadvertently turned off the cable and tv and he was very kind about helping us get it back on.

Great location. Close to Times Square

I like this hotel. It is not the typical hotel. It does not have 24 hr front desk or certain amenities like pool or concierge. But the staff member is always available. The room has a kitchenette which is convenient in NYC. It is comparable to other NYC hotel rooms. There is no elevator but no big deal. Great location.

Minimal hotel near Times Square

Posted Jun 7, 2014
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Upgrade the amenities
Location: Three blocks from the Times Square area, but they are LONG blocks. Plenty of food and drink options around. Still an industrial feel to the west.
This is called a limited service hotel, which meant that one day (of two) the bathroom was not tended to - even with a wet towel on the floor (because there was no bath mat). There is often no desk attendant downstairs, and you need a pass code to get in the front door - not clear how to do that on first arrival. The room was modern and had a little kitchen area, good for a long stay, but everything was cheap - the towels were skimpy, no facial tissue, flimsy toilet paper. Third-floor walkup. But it was clean and cheap.

Nice hotel with great prices.

Not sure why it's a hotel since it has no hotel features like a restaurant. It's got a great kitchenette with pots and pans and plates and utensils. It's more of a apartment style motel than anything.
