Hidden Gem in Williamsburg

Posted Jan 4, 2015
This hotel was in a great location. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was nice and clean, I mean hard boiled eggs, cereal, coffee and juice. The rooms were quaint and had everything you need. I would definitely stay again.

コストパフォーマンスの良いホテル

Posted Jan 3, 2015

Nice, clean, comfortable hotel!

Posted Dec 20, 2014
Pros: Helpful staff, clean rooms, breakfast, close to transportation and good eateries in Brooklyn.
Cons: My needs were totally met. I stayed in a room with two twins; small with little room to walk around. i was not there much, so size was irrelevant.
Location: There are nice restaurants nearby as well as museums, botanical gardens, etc. with easy access to Manhattan.
This is the second stay at the HLJ and I will stay again, and again, and again. The staff is helpful and friendly, my room was clean and updated, and the breakfast is quite sufficient with fresh fruits and yogurt, whole grain choices of bread, fresh juice and coffee. I feel safe in the neighborhood and it is close to the subway that will get you to anywhere in midtown Manhattan in 25 minutes with no more than one change. For the money, it is a deal compared to the cost of Manhatten hotels.

Charming even without Lobby...

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: For me the cost and proximity to my daughter in Brooklyn, is the best. The rooms are tastefully decorated and space efficient. Enjoy the breakfast.
Location: Can't speak to this because my daughter lives close and is my tour guide.
The staff is friendly and professional. I don't understand the location, because I come by car from the airport and my daughter lives one or two subway stops away and always comes and collects me. It suits us.

Convenient to Brooklyn venues and expressway

Posted Dec 1, 2014
The room was small but clean and modern. The hotel is quiet and although close to BQE, I did not hear traffic. The staff was friendly and helpful. Off street parking is a plus!

Perfectly Fine

Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: The location in North Williamsburg
Cons: The breakfast left a little to be desired.
Location: The location is in walking distance to the L train station or explore the great restaurants and bars that make Williamsburg great.
It's a small hotel, but the location was perfect for me. Yes, the rooms are small, but if you know that going in then what's the problem? It has everything you need. This may not be the type of hotel that you dream about getting back to but if you want to stay at a hotel in North Williamsburg then this fits the bill. I would stay there again without a problem.

Nice hotel close to the subway and resteraunts

Posted Nov 8, 2014
Pros: It was so clean and comfortable. Free drinks and fruit avalable at all times
Cons: Nothing
Location: You will need a cheap subway card to get to most places in NY but within 5 mins you can get to a park and shops and resteraunts of Brooklyn.
This was our first choice but it was fully booked for the first part of our stay. The staff were so friendly and even provided a free umbrella when it rained
