Hotel very near Times SquarePosted Oct 19, 2014
Room was a bit small as was the bed. A nice hotel but you pay a premium to be by Times Square.

The location is great. The Bistro next to it very nice. The room layout was terrible. The A/C smell was horrendous. The night stands and alarm clock were full of dust. I requested another room and it was not given to me. The pillow covers smelled like if they had been used. There were somebody else's hair on the sheets. They offered to change the bed sheets and pillow covers and no one came to do it. Defintely not a 4 star hotel.

Perfect LocationPosted Oct 7, 2014
Hotel is located in the heart of Times Square. Walking distance (if you like to walk) from a lot of places. Room was small but very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay at Hotel Mela again.

The New York Experience !Posted Oct 3, 2014
Pros: The location was great ! Fast in and out to all the fun activities !
Cons: The beds were not comfortable and the fittness center was appalling. It was the restroom as well as the fittness center.
Location: Many theaters and restaurants, really anything that you needed you could buy or walk to.
Always a pleasure to visit NYC and staying at a hotel that meets or exceeds your expectiations make it even better. I can say the hotel was located in one of the best parts of the city if you like hustle and bustle. It has a great restuarant next door associated with the hotel. Food and staff were better then the hotel staff. (Saju) ;-) So, even if you aren't staying at the Hotel Mela, go to the restaurant next door!

Great location and close to all the attractionsPosted Oct 3, 2014
Pros: Staff very helpful and useful having the bistro next door.
Location: Close to Times Square and all sights within walking distance
Weather fantastic so lots of walking. Managed to cram everything in and visit all the important sites, even got tickets to see Wicked which just completed the whole experience. Everyone needs to visit New York at least once.

good location near Times SquarePosted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: See Above
Cons: See above
Location: one block from the center of Times Square
The location and quality of the accommodations were very good. This size of the room and noise level - facing 44th Street were disappointing. Garbage collection and food supply trucks do their work in the middle of the night resulting in a lot of noise and sleep prevention. Also disappointed that there were no additional options to sit/relax in the room other than the desk chair.

Mela HotelPosted Sep 24, 2014
Great location, steps from Times Square. Reasonably priced. Their wifi is joke, rarely worked. You have to pay a $1.50 for local calls. I was charged $40 for items I didnt even use from my mini bar. Although they resolved it was not impressed. Probably wont stay here again
