Perfect place to stay in Manhattan

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: Convenience. Courtesy. Close to everything.
Location: 44th Street in Manhattan? Everything is nearby!
We arrived early. They held our bags. Room was a great place to sleep, which was all we needed. Close to everything. Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. They held our bags after checkout, as well. We'd stay there again. Absolutely.

Basic hotel good price via Expedia

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: midtown central; walked to Penn Station for next stage.
Cons: LED lamps at bedside were cheap and did not give enough light to read by. Smart TV in room should be an advertsied amenity.
Location: Central midtown. Everything within walking distance, including subway of course.
We stayed only one night. Quiet enough. GREAT restaurant across the street: Un-Deux-Trois.

Just fine

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Expedia
Cons: Cleanness
Location: Bryant Park
I know I booked it in a very low price, however, I did not expected to be this small room. No table to write, the AC was just fine, the bathroom was not that clean.

Decent hotel, good location

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Room was pleasant, however, shower was frigid both morning and night. Also, cleaning staff kept pestering as to when I was going to check out so they could cone in and clean.

very well located Times Square

Posted Apr 4, 2014
Pros: I cannot think of anything
Cons: Cleaniness, elevators, rooms need freshening...
Location: centrally located and close to the vibrant life of Times Square
Very disappointing, this hotel is rated 4*,and I really don't see how. I paid for a superior room with a queen and I got a tiny room with a full bed, internet included but did not work except for few minutes, the carpet looked really ugly and definitely not 4*!

Cosy

Posted Apr 3, 2014
Hotel Mela is situated a short walk from the action. We had a standard room with a queen size bed and it was cosy. This was a little uncomfortable as you could barely open up your suitcase. The staff were great and always helpful. I think this hotel is best for those on short stays with little luggage.

Much smaller than expected

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Be honest about your room size - the pictures are taken as to give the impression of them being bigger.
Location: Good location. Right around the corner from Broadway and Times Square.
I thought I'd spend a little bit more to pass a really nice weekend with my hubby in New York. But it turns out it wasn't worth spending more. The room was tiny little as a shoebox - and my hubby hardly could sleep in this super small bed. I was actually quite disappointed. But the location was good. At least something. ;-) Oh, and actually throught the bathroom smoke from somebody else smoking in the bathroom came into our room...
