Nice hotel in great position in New York

Posted Sep 26, 2014
Pros: Lobby looked gorgeous, roof top terrace lovely to sit on, all the staff friendly, which seemed to be unusual in New York!! Breakfast included.
Cons: Bathroom in room was tired.
Location: Empire State in next block, Times Square a couple of blocks away and transport nearby. Macy's around the corner. Irish bars along the street.
Great hotel with friendly helpful staff. Room small but comfortable.

Good hotel, great location

This is the second time I have stayed. Location is amazing for Macy's Empire State, possible to get train from JFK and then short walk to hotel even with huge bag (space always needed for shopping). I stayed in a mini room, which was OK for one but two people with big suitcases would struggle. Amazing view of Empire State building from roof, disappointed bar was not open. Good breakfast, continental, amazing muffins and bagels. Good coffee available 24hrs a day. I will be back!!

Amazing stay! Recommend to everybody.

Pros: Personal, clean, breakfast, wifi, location
Cons: Different types of pillows. I prefer low ones, not puffy
Close to everything, Empire State, Times Square, 10 min taxi drive to everywhere in Manhattan. We were upgraded to a family room unexpectedly, it was awesome!

Great value for money. The hotel is very clean, the rooms were well proportioned. Room comfort was outstanding. The lobby design was nice and the bar area was very fine and sylish. There was strong wireless signals throughout. It's close to everything in Manhattan midtown. I would stay here again and also. I firmly recommend Hotel Metro both for business purposes or tourism.

Wonderful

This was my first time in New York so was unsure where to stay a friend of mind had been there recently and recommended it! We weren't disappointed. It was close to everything and the staff were very helpful nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast came with our deal and was great. Especially loved the view of the Empire State Bulding from the roof top bar:) Macy's just a block away and Times Square a 10 min walk. Catching the Subway was made easy by the helpful staff can't wait to go back:)

Weekend Away

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: The "free" breakfast consisted of bagels and muffins - no fruit, yogurt or anything healthy. Ended up eating at the Metro Grill and paying.
Location: Very close to the Empire State Building (around the block). Near Broadway and Times Square - easy walk to/from Penn Station.
Went away with my husband for a much-needed break for a couple of days (2 nights). The hotel itself was okay - I wouldn't say great because the room and bathroom definitely need updating. The bathroom was so small there wasn't enough room to put a toiletry bag. The bathroom door stuck and was hard to close and the toilet seat cover didn't stay upright.

Pros: Free wifi, complimentary breakfast (yummy muffins!), great restaurant, lovely room with fantastic view of the Empire State Building, rooftop bar
Cons: Struggling to think of anything
Location: Fantastic location, near 5th Avenue, Macy's, Times Square, Broadway, subway station
We had a fantastic time at this lovely hotel, it is hard to fault it and we will definitely be back. Location couldn't be better!
