Good value

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: We liked the quiet room as NYC hotels can be very noisy. It was a terrific bargain.
Cons: Walk to subways for the lines to the west side is through a rather seedy area, but as trendy neighborhoods expand this will change.
Location: It is a short walk to the Fish Market for half price tickets for Broadway shows. Explore Chinatown, Lower East Side, Little Italy, Financial Dist.
We were pleasantly surprised by the value of the service and accommodations. The hotel is located in the heart of Chinatown and we felt as though we were back on vacation in China. The street is quiet with a lovely neighborhood park across the street where we watched Tai Chai each morning, sports, and locals playing games. Included was a breakfast choice of 5 things at a restaurant a few doors away. What a bargain! The hotel delivered to our room a large platter of fresh fruit which took us a full week to finish. It is located walking distance to Chinese restaurants, Little Italy, the Financial District and the recently trendy Lower East Side. Subway stations and buses are nearby.

Great location. Playground across the street. Italian restaurants with very good food, fresh fruit market right around the corner. 30 minutes walk with 2 strollers to the 9/11 memorial. 25 minutes walk to SOHO.

Pros: So clean. Excellent location.
Cons: Definetly need exhaust fans in bathrooms. Had family of four staying in one room, got very foggy in bathroom.
Location: Great location. Great restaurants within metres of hotel. Mama eatery for breakfast vouchers was fantastic. Lovely girl served us every morning.
We had family of four staying for 5 nights in one room. This included two teenagers. Beds were so comfortable. Rooms were very clean. Within walking distance of subway stations. We ate in both Chinatown & Little Italy all within 5 min walk.

Great location for Chinatown and Little Italy

Small boutique hotel, only 3 rooms per floor. Room size has generous for a New York hotel. It was only a 15 minute walk to the 9/11 memorial. Included breakfast was a nice touch. Would stay here again.

Hotel in Chinatown

Posted May 2, 2015
Pros: Nothing really stood out as exceptional about the hotel it self. The hotel staff were really friendly. My brother lost his key card, and they helped.
Cons: Maybe change the shampo and shower gel that is provided. I thought it smelled rather badly. Also, why provide a shower gel instead of soap?
Location: Tons of restaurants and shops. There were a couple of murals that were really cool too. There's a sports park (basketball, soccer, etc) right in front
I actually booked this hotel by accident. It didn't turn out badly though as it gave me another area of NYC to explore that I probably wouldn't have visited. The hotel it self was a little odd. The lobby and rooms looked really nice, but the hallways looked kinda bland. The biggest drawback to the entire thing was the ice and water situation. Ice can only be obtained from a fridge in the 5th floor, and it's in ice bags. Water can only be obtained from the lobby water cooler. A little annoying for a heavy water drinker. There is a fridge in the room, it's behind two doors in the drawer with the TV. The bathroom was a little small, but was really nice. The faucet and shower are easy to operate. The shampoo and shower gel provided smelled a little funky, I'd recommend bringing your own. They only supply two breakfast vouchers per room, so keep that in mind if there are three people in your room. The area was nice, the hotel was in front of a park that could be use for a number of activities. Tons and TONS of restaurant and shops. This hotel is near the edge of Chinatown and Little Italy so you get a wide selection of both. It's a little bit of a walk to get a taxi, but not too bad. Like I said, I booked this hotel by mistake as I was looking for hotels around mid to upper Manhattan, but I ended with this one as I started looking a lower priced hotels. Not knowing other hotels around this area it's a little hard to recommend, but it was satisfactory overall. 3 / 5

Neat tiny hotel in the middle of Chinatown

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: Nice room, good location if you are visiting lower Manhattan
Cons: Retrain or take the (very young) inexperienced staff off the front desk.
Location: It's Chinatown with all that entails. Little Italy is nearby as well as well as Columbus Park across the street.
Stay was just overnight but without incident. The room was small as expected, but very comfortable, nicely appointed and attractive.

Nice hotel next to a little park

Posted Apr 26, 2015
We were on the 11th floor and although we did not have a great view,it was quiet. We appreciated the free wifi very much. The bathroom was modern. In the morning we walked next door to eat our free breakfast. We had an omelet with toasts and coffee. I chose this hotel because I wanted to be close to little italy and chinatown. It was an enjoyable stay but a little walk to the closest subway station.

Always delivers.

Cons: The coffee setup in the room has only nescafe. I would bring my own favorite from home next time.
Location: Chinatown is always bustling, fascinating. I walked to Black Seed bagel over in Little Italy and then on to Old St. Patrick's for Mass.
Though my room this stay was on the small side, it was as always immaculate. I had a nice view of the Park in the morning and did some Tai Chi watching the many groups working out at 8 AM. The included breakfast at Mama's is fine.
