great hotel in the middle of everythingPosted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Its close proximity to everything in midtown.
Cons: They could use a few more people at check in since I always noticed that the lines were always super long and only 2-3 people at the check in desk.
Location: Times Square, Madison Square Garden
My stay here was great! The room I got was a king sized bed and even included a refrigerator. It was very clean and comfortable. I wasn't expecting such a large room from a midtown hotel but I got it.

the hotel that forgotPosted Mar 9, 2014
Pros: the bell boy on the final morning
Cons: don't use it,or make sure it is modernised and has the capabilities to be a welcoming place
Location: location central plenty to do nearby
We arrived and we where told we where in an economy double room. We told them it was supposed to be a Superior Double room and as we had been recommended to the hotel, we would like what we where booked we where offered a slightly better room with a larger bed. No tea or coffee facilities,Wifi at an exorbitant 11 dollars a day. if we wished to discuss anything there was always a long queue and not enough staff. The hotel foyer was a walk through shopping centre, With a thoroughfare from one entrance to the next, The Hotel that forgot the person stopping wants a pleasant experience and a welcome to make our stay like we have never been anywhere else. FAILED on all counts

Location is the fab, near Times Square, Broadway..Posted Mar 7, 2014
Hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable and a great base in Manhatten with Lindys coffee shop/restaurant/bar on site. Rooms are fine for NYC, clean, basic, comfy, good shower.....rooms need some updating for sure, as does the hotel but in NYC you are not in your room much, excellent base for visiting New York. Had a great time!

Good for the pricePosted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: The price, location, room.
Cons: Wifi should be included....you are forced to pay 10.95 per 24 hrs WiFi...thats pretty expensive if you consider similar hotels offer it for free.
Location: The location is great, next to Subway - Penn Station, just one stop to Time Square in train, in front of Madison Square Garden. Next to Macy's
Its an old hotel, not much luxury, but well kept....rooms looks old but clean...dont expect a 5 star experience since you're not paying the highest rate in town. The hotel staff was very friendly, helped us arrange a taxi to the airport.

Good locationPosted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: Nice cleaning staff, good location because of convenience to shopping, food, entertainment etc.
Cons: General upgrade - lobby, rooms, hallways etc.
When booking on line most of the complimentaries are not included in package. Gloomy hallways. Noise from other room. Very long queue.

Beware of erroneous incidental charges!!!Posted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: Huge, warm, clean room. It was quiet and nice. The bed was very comfortable
Cons: Your desk clerks should be taught honesty. She should have presented herself honestly, instead of just swiping my card without my consent.
Location: Excellent location. Right across from Madison Square Garden. Tons of things to do-Macy's, the Garden, great eateries, or just midtown walking. Great.
Everything was pleasant, except for the front desk clerk. She asked to see my debit card. When I handed it to her she swiped it. I had prepaid, so I asked her why she did that. She said it was for incidentals. I told her I was not going to be using any and wanted a credit immediately. I asked her how much she had swiped under the desk. She said it was only $40, and that I would get a credit to my card in four days if I did not create any incidental charges. I called my card company when I got to my room, and found out it was $48.00. Four days have passed and I have yet to get this credit. I am going to be sure to get my credit tomorrow, even if I have to go down to the hotel personally. Nothing underhanded should be done. This was the only blight on a really pleasant stay. Love the location. Love the hotel for the price.

Great LocationPosted Mar 5, 2014
Pros: The location is worth putting up with all the things mentioned above. Right next to Subway-easy!
Cons: Paint could help a lot. Replace tile floor that are rusted out or broken.
Location: Excellent location. Lots places to eat right out the door. 3 different subway lines real close-2right out the door. Can walk to Empire State Building.
Everything about this Hotel (except the Lobby) is old, very old and so most of the unpleasant aspects are essentially due to that. The baseboards looked obviously dirty but upon closer inspection it was dirt that was into the paint - couldn't come clean. My toilet had enamel missing in the bottom of the bowl - the big black area looked gross-but the toilet was clean. Shower tile was scraped and discolored but was clean. Bed was not that comfortable but adequate. TV worked great. Front desk staff were very nice even though they had so many people checking in at a time - every day. It takes a long time to check in-but that's because of so many each day. The price helps you forgive some of the other stuff. IF you want fancy - don't stay here, but if you can compromise a little it works out OK.

Great location, Easy subway access, Clean RoomsPosted Mar 5, 2014
Pros: Location, Room Space
Cons: Wait at front desk was quite long with 2 staff for many customers
Location: Perfect if in town for an MSG event, close walk to Times Square, Macy's and Empire State Building
Enjoyed my stay here, walking distance to Times Square and easy subway access to get everywhere else.
