USINE A TOURISTES

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: Pas grand chose :(
Cons: La literie, une horreur enfin tout au moins dans la chambre 671.
Location: Près de Times Square comme dit plus haut donc très bien situé pour beaucoup de points à voir à NYC.
Hôtel plus que médiocre. Accueil check-in limite.

Convenient, affordable and well worn

Posted Mar 30, 2015
The Pennsylvania is a bit long in the tooth, but it's location and moderate price make it a great lodging choice for New York City. The staff is helpful, friendly and efficient. The room decor is Spartan and borderline threadbare but clean. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the hotel for you. If you are looking for a bargain you should consider.

Old hotel struggling to be New

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: Close to Penn station.
Cons: Get more employees, better beds, pillows, sheets without holes, new carpet, more plugs (not in the bathroom) to charge phones, and better security.
This is an old hotel that is trying to be new so I understand that they have to work with the original structure. But the holes in my sheets, stains on the floor and a stiff bed could easily be updated. Also, I had to wait in line an hour to check in because they had only two people working on slow computer systems and it was not even rush hour. Also, the walls are paper thin so bring ear plugs for when the couple next door gets in a drunk fight at 3 AM and starts throwing stuff against your wall. This hotel is right across from Penn Station so it attracts every type of tourist you can possibly imagine.

It's a convienent hotel. Not very nice. The room was big for a NY hotel. Very old and outdated. I enjoyed the location. Walking distance to everything

Decent hotel with large rooms.

Posted Mar 29, 2015
I stayed in the A section of the hotel which was slightly confusing. Seemed older and was being renovated. Room was extremely large with 1 King bed. Bathroom was normal size but toilet had some rust stains and the floor appeared dirty. Check in and out was very easy. Would stay here again for the price.

Never again..dirty and extremely dark and dirty.

Posted Mar 29, 2015
First off it started with an extremely rude bell hop or bag guy at the front of the building. They refused to let us park in front and drop off our bags and luggage before I went and parked my car in a garage a block down. Once inside be ready to wait over and hour to check in and not a minute before your check in time. Once checked in we went to our room. Horrible extremely dark and dirty inside. There was no light bulb in the lamp and there was glow Sticks hanging from everywhere in the room. Obviously from the guest before. And a very obvious smell of marijuana....in a no smoking room. Tried to call the front desk....phone didn't work...went all the way to the front desk to let them know the issue they said the room was cleaned and they will send somebody up to check it out. 20 minutes later someone showed up seen the mess and noticed the smell and they gave us a new room....so we sit in the hallway for another 20 minutes waiting for a key card to a new room. Once we get the card we go to the new room and sure enough there is no heavy sheet on the bed. Just one thin sheet...so we figure out let's call get a sheet...go to sit on the bed and the whole thing caves in the bed rocked back and forth and sank about a foot in the middle. so at this point our vacation was going downhill. I kindly go find the supervisor who has an office in the hallway and bring her to the room and show what's going on....and a new room is issued. 2 more times...rooms are tiny bathrooms disgusting
