Pros: It was conveniently located, they held our bags for us and made it easy to check in late. The room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: The rooms could be slightly bigger.
Location: Tons of museums and Central Park!

Charming, cozy, neat hotelPosted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: It was very quiet on our side. We liked the location on Madisson Avenue. It was neat, clean and the room was newly renovated.
Cons: More light in the elevator as it was difficult to see the numbers.
Location: There were nice restaurants next door to the hotel on either side and across the street. Central Park was a short walk away as was the MET.
When we arrived, the hotel staff immediately took our bags to our room which was ready when we got there a bit early. The coffee lounge was handy at all hours and we used the computer room several times. We slept well and would recommend it to others. They have a garden on the roof.

Great place, loved it!Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: Accommodations Staff
The staff was outstanding. We arrived at 9am after a long overnight expedition, not expecting a room but only to check our bags. It seemed that almost all of Manhattan was booked solid. But they were very helpful and gave us a room on the spot that had gone unfilled the night before. We were ecstatic. Thanks to the staff, we had a great stay and we had a blast at SNL that night!

charming hotel in a quaint neighborhoodPosted Sep 28, 2013
Pros: WE love art and this hotel was near 5 o 6 museums we love to visit.
Cons: I really wish they would not permit pets. At various times with hotel room doors open dogs were lounging on the furniture.
Location: Nice places to eat, especially Paola's and Sarabeths connected to the hotel
Friendly staff and very clean room. Service was very good

Could be nice if cleaner.Posted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: Nice location
Cons: It would be nice to be cleaner and get the room I asked for.
Did not get queen bed. Room 601. Double and postage stamp size. Food tray in hall on arrival still there on departure. Have photo of room if desired

Yankees game tripPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: Quiet area and close to central park
Cons: Hot hallways
My wife and I visited New York and stayed at Hotel Wales because it was close to the stadium. We found the area around the hotel to be very nice and safe. Lots of choices of places to eat and a easy walk to subway if you would like to visit downtown. Very pleasant stay.

Comfortable stay on the Upper EastsidePosted Sep 5, 2013
Pros: The location and the free coffee 24 hours a day
Cons: Only the noisey airconditioner, but that is only the reality of staying in NYC
Location: Quite location with many restaurants nearby. Easy to get to the subway and central park.
The Hotel Wales is a fine hotel situated in a quiet location with many restaurants on the block. Only a couple of blocks from the subway and central park. Staff were great.
