Vacation in New Jersey

Pros: Close to the airport and a great staff. well equipped gym, great and affordable breakfast.
Cons: Local calls within New Jersey from the hotel phone was classified as long distance. I called the desk and did not get help with that.
Location: The location is just perfect, I felt really safe. There was information stand in the reception with pamphlet about all the attractions in New Jersey.
My experience at Howard Johnson hotel in Newark, was great. First of all, we were picked up by hotel-airport shuttle. I came in with my 2 boys ages, 8 and 12 and received a very warm reception when we checked in. The room was very clean and homely, The bathroom was exceptionally clean. We wanted to visit New York, fortunately for us, we were informed by staff in the reception that there was a bus that comes directly to the hotel to pick up guest to New York and back. This information made our visit to New York less stressful. my boys and I enjoyed every moment of our stay in Howard Johnson Hotel Newark. I strongly will recommend this hotel anytime.

Cheap and clean place to stay.

Pros: Location to Newark airport
Cons: Decor is very dated
Room was clean but basic, didn't expect much for the price we payed. We only stayed one night that was enough. The staff were very helpful. The best thing was the shuttle service to New York.

Pros: nothing
Cons: room renovation and make cleaner
Location: move to holiday inn, nicer envoirment and clean
hotel room was old , dirty and envoirment is not for family.

Guests slams the doors during the night, no ventilation in bathroom, expensive parking. WiFi included, free, but problems to login and very slow. Booked this hotel because the Ramada, close by, was not available for those 8 days of our stay.this hotel will not see me again

rooms were small, not comfortable, not really clean. hotel corridor's carpet was wet , and altogether not clean at all. hotel staff were polite, but not very helpful.

This hotel is not clean and shouldn't be used no matter how low the price may be. Hotel was listed for $90 on expedia but there was a sign at the hotel offering $54. Which is not available for expedia customers. But the important point is not to stay here even if you could get the room for $40.

Very loud plane noise. Noisy guests on same floor late night. Fwy. directions poor. Had very hard time returning to hotel each day. Got lost every time.
