Pros: location, great bath supplies, nice lobby
Cons: it's awfully hot, even with the heater off - wish you could open a window!
Location: 1 block from columbus circle, central park, 3 blocks from Lincoln center
True, the rooms are small, but the beds are comfortable, and the location can't be beat. Easy walk to Lincoln Center, subway, or central park. Staff was helpful, and we couldn't hear any street or lobby noise from the 5th floor.

Aimed at the younger Traveller or one night stays

Pros: Helpful friendly staff, lovely clean cotton bed linen
Cons: Tea and Coffee making facilities in rooms, first hotel I have stayed in for a long long time where this was not available
Location: The location was good, not too central to the hustle and bustle fo Times Square...but within walking distance and very close to Central park
We booked a 6 night stay in a standard room...reception area was lovely, once checke in we went to the room...it was TINY, nowhere to put suitcases, no draws/shelves to put clothes on, just not enough space for a six day stay...we didn't unpack, instead we went straight back to reception and asked if a larger room was available.... we had no issues with paying more (did not expect anything complimentary) we just wanted to have a comfortable stay....The reception staff were excellent and went through the options with us, we opted to upgrade to a Suite..we were given a special deal of just $100 per night extra whch was fine. The Suite was pleasant, roomy if a little dark due to the dark wood panelling and only floor lamps for lighting. The bathroom was great and stocked with a range of complimentary products as expected by the modern day traveller. A few criticisms:- 1.the lack of any hotel information in the room, no hotel directory...apparently it is all available on the TV...which we realised around 4 days into our holiday 2. No tea or coffe making facilities in the room which meant we could not wake in the morning and make a drink before leaving the room, this forced us into using the Starbucks just down the road to meet this requirement 3. The aircon/heating whilst it worked perfectly...which was a bonus when it was -15C at night..was a little noisy and woke us up during the night when it kicked in

Overrated!

Seriously disappointing for a 4 star hotel.The Hudson has a lousy restaurant, room service is a joke, the rooms do not have a mini bar and the smallest problem becomes a hassle to deal with because of a seriously understaffed front desk. Had to switch rooms due to an issue with the door lock. Not the end of the world but the guy sent to help me with my stuff was acting annoyed and unfriendly. Wouldn't go as far as calling the hotel a tourist trap, but it gets close. Not coming back.

Chambre Deluxe double bed trop petite

Cons: l'accueil, la rapidité, les parties communes trop grandes, bruyantes, l'entretien du lieu
Location: Columbus circle parfaitement placé à côté du métro et de Central Park
Arrivée avec des temps d'attente à la réception toujours très long durant tout le séjour. il y a toujours la queue devant la réception, mais personnel obligeant, à l'américaine. Chambre Deluxe très petite. Nous étions trois, et on quatre, comme la capacité d'accueil le permettrait, on peut à peine bougé. comme nous avions eu un problème de nom mal enregistré à l'arrivée, nous avons été surclassé dans une chambre avec un micro salon, cela permettait de bouger mais chambre très mal entretenue, peinture écaillée, pas vraiment propre, salle de bain, sans patère, un bruit d'air conditionné insupportable, et malgré la hauteur de l'étage, 18è, beaucoup de bruit de rue, beaucoup de bluff pour rien des petits déjeuner qui nécessite, à nouveau de faire la queue, tout en vaisselle non écolo et jetable et à prix exorbitant on nous a rechangé de chambre, après avoir constaté des wc bouchés, puis une douche bouchée! dans la nouvelle chambre beaucoup mieux entretenue à nouveau des toilettes bouchées et surtout, des travaux dans chambres avoisinantes jusqu'à 21h00 passées. il a fallu descendre deux fois à la réception et devoir faire un esclandre pour obtenir un arrêt (vers 22h00) des bruits de chantier et une remise sur la chambre et petit-déjeuner offert

I've had more space and comfort on an overnight ferry boat. No room to swing a cat as they say. The staff just pass you from pillar to post if you have a question. I had to go to front desk twice to ask if they could cash a travellers cheque!!!! Spent 2 hours waiting for a plumber to fix the toilet. Our room wasn't cleaned one day, no towels. The restaurant is no more than a canteen type hole in the wall then there is nowhere to sit and eat it as they put RESERVED signs on all the tables. You have no better than treatment if you are staying there than if you walk in off the street.

Cons: food, speed of service/# of staff members on at one time, security?- teenagers everywhere unsupervised was annoying.
I arrived 4 hours after my scheduled check in time on a Tuesday, and the lobby was packed with only 2 attendants behind the counter. Once the novelty of the striking and unique design elements wore off, I found myself frustrated and in a panic because I had an event I needed to get ready for in an hour and a half. Once I finally got called up, Jade was extremely bubbly and helpful. I quickly shuffled into the elevator and arrived on my floor only to find the maid was in my room still working. She was a sweet woman who didn't speak much english, and I felt terrible rushing her out letting her know as best I could that I had an event and needed to hustle- She said that she was done anyway and shuffled away after giving me some extra shampoos and conditioners (Malin+Goetz - nice little perk). I found the room to be comfortable though in need of some TLC. Nothing major but there was some room for improvement and the cleanliness wasn't up to my standards, but clearly because it was half done. I also was on a floor with some very noticeably underage (high school) girls being extremely rowdy. This was funny at first until the volume and drunken chit chat about "Kyle" became annoying and a very clear reminder that I am an old woman. I ordered room service from the beer hall place and it took forever and was subpar at best. Would not recommend dining from that menu. Apart from this I enjoyed the experience overall and would come again for the convenient location and superb decor.

Urgent need of remodeling.

Location: As already said, the location is very good.
My room was little, the bathroom ridiculous and too many things need to be fixed. While the entrance is pharaonic and very pretentious (personnel included) the rooms are ugly and very tiny. My room was very cheap and I wandered the reason of it, then I understood. The restaurant is an elegant fastfood; the bar attendant should learn that a mouth can also smile and be gentle to women too.
