The Hudson was a very nice place to get drinks and hang around. But the rooms a very small for the price and the bathroom were design very poorly.

Location is the only upside.....

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Location is the only reason we booked here. The washrooms are terribly small... I'm 5 ft 9 and my knees hit the wall on the toilet. WiFi is 15 dollars a day.

to small for confort

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: NOTHING
Cons: everything
long lines to ck in and to ck out. only two staff members on counter. rooms way too small. bathroom way to small , how can anyone seat on the toilet if it is only 6 inches from the front wall??????????? no leg room, you have to spread legs side ways and even then. what a horrible design. noise was too loud from bar below.

Good location, very small rooms.

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The entrance hall, the sky lounge.
Cons: Sizes of rooms, cleanliness.
Location: Very close to Central Park, walking distance to most attractions, Rockefeller, Empire State etc.
The hotel looks excellent from the outside and from the inside. It is in an ideal position for visiting Manhattan. The only down sides were the size of the rooms and the cleanliness. The room was big enough for a double bed and a very small en-suite and that was all. Very little storage space and I could not sit on the toilet without bending my knees away from the wall! Also, cleaners were not that efficient despite the small room sizes. If you want location then this is the hotel for you, if you want luxury, then go elsewhere.

New York in July

Very nice hotel and have stayed several times. Kind of quiet on Monday nights and the bar is not open for the roof top area on Mondays, but quick cab ride anywhere.

good location, good bars, not best management

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: hotel management
my room was on a floor with construction going on, was not warned about this. rooms are tiny but fine, it's NY. seems the staff is more concerned with the bar customers than hotel's.

The room looked clean until...

Posted Jul 12, 2014
I dropped something under the bed. The girl who checked me in had serious attitude. The light from the corridor was visible all around the door and the door faced the bed. The ironing board was broken and I had to wait an hour before HK brought a new one. My room key stopped working an hour before check out time when my car was waiting to take me to the airport- I went down stairs and they gave me the wrong key TWICE! My driver was about to leave when I got down stairs... I almost missed my flight!

Getting long in the tooth

Posted Jul 12, 2014
I've stayed at the Hudson since it opened as an ├╝ber hip spot. The place hasn't changed, which is both good and bad. The good: the people who work there. The bad; the place. My room had broken blinds (wrecked, basically), a burned out bedside lamp, a endlessly dripping toilet tank, a broken remote and the neighbors fire alarm would chirp for new batteries by the minute. All fixable (and ultimately fixed). But really!?!

Nice hotel - poorly managed.

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: Location, common areas
Cons: Every level of services - from check in to the upkeep of the rooms.
Location: Columbus circle, central park, lots of transportation options.
The Hudson is a nice hotel with excellent amenities ideally located on Colmubus circle. Unfortunately, the hotel is badly understaffed and everything from ordering food in the Hudson common to waiting to check in takes forever. The room I stayed in was probably less than 150 square feet - the bathroom was totally useless and there was mold growing in the shower. It's too bad that management is allowing this impressive property to be so poorly kept.
