Close to columbus circlePosted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: It is very hip, lots of young people, has upgraded rooms
Cons: The aisles in the room areas are very dark. Deceiving as to what the rooms look like
Location: you can do most anything as everything is available by subway
Very close to Columbus circle(shopping mall) and to the Columbus circle subway station. Close to Lincoln center and to fabulous Mexican restaurant.
Bad experiencePosted Mar 5, 2014
We took a Standard room, which was extremely small. Hardly had room to turn around. The worst was the heating, that made the most unbearable noise all night, making it hard to sleep. At check out we were charged over $60 for 5 phone calls. One was $8 for a 13 seconds call, another was $15 for a 1-800 number. We would not book in this hotel again.

Cruise Ship SizePosted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: The closeness to Lincoln Center and Julliard.
Cons: Larger rooms and better HVAC.
Location: Central Park, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall are all close by.
The room is about the size of a cruise ship room. The bathroom would give a large person fits. Suitcases have to go under the bed, they cannot be placed out. On the automatic setting on the thermostat the unit would alternate between the A/C and the heater! And there was a loud clanking noise in the unit as well. Maintenance said to just keep the unit on 72 or lower and it would be ok. (Since it was 20 degrees outside I'm not sure if I agree...) My son and I just turned it off at night and the room stayed at 71 which was fine. The hotel is located a block away from Central Park and is close to Lincoln Center, Julliard and Carnegie Hall. There are a lot of restaurants nearby.

Nice hotel, handy locationPosted Mar 4, 2014
Hotel nice, clean, staff friendly enough. Rooms a bit on small side but didn't spend a lot of time in room to concern about it.

Hip crowdPosted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: The price and the convenience
Location: Central Park, Carnegie Hall, Fordham U.
The "in place" for the hip crowd. Great service, small but comfortable rooms, and very modern. Easy access to the shops of Columbus Circle and to Central Park. Don't think you'll find better value.

Nice hotel in excellent locationPosted Mar 3, 2014
The hotel decoration is unique and the location is great as it's a block away from Central Park. Only downside is the rooms are small but they are perfectly formed.

Pure delight during an emergency stay!Posted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: location, staff, amenities
Cons: bar price for glass of wine was a tad steep - equal to price for large martini
Location: great access to Central Park and performance venues.
Due to a lost passport we found ourselves unexpectedly stranded in New York for two nights en route home to Canada. A quick scan of Trip Advisor and Expedia popped up the Hudson, and what a perfect act of serendipity this turned out to be. Perfect location, very helpful staff, extremely reasonable rate and a very comfortable, albeit expectedly tiny, room. Will be making this "our place" for all future visits.

Stylish & comfortablePosted Feb 23, 2014
For a week in NYC this place is great - excellent bars, good location & comfortable rooms. Yes they are a bit small but in NYC, you shouldn't be spending a lot of time in your room anyway!
