North Williamsburg locationPosted Nov 14, 2013
Pros: Loved the location, cleanliness, prompt staff response.
Cons: Better lighting system in room. Restaurant was not very acceptable for us.
Location: Next to McCarren Park, close to subway, many interesting shops and cafes along Bedford Street which was right around the corner.
Very nice hotel for my daughter and I as we explored Williamsburg. Safe area, close to shops and restaurants. Close to subway (L). Only complaints were lighting in the room was not ideal. Bathroom was not bright enough to put on makeup. Also had a very bad breakfast in adjoining hotel restaurant. Service at the restaurant was poor and food was cold and tasteless.

Style, but lacking in a bit of substance and spacePosted Sep 17, 2013
Pros: Rooftop bar and pool (when not booked)
Cons: Bathrooms should be bigger for the higher room classes. Cleaning and towel provisions should be less erratic, shouldn't book the whole pool out etc
Location: Williamsburg is fantastic, really cool bars and restaurants, and so easy to get over to Manhattan in a few minutes on the L train. Highly recommend!
Stayed in the Deluxe King room. The room was good albeit a little small and lacking in storage / coat hanging fixings, but the bathroom was tiny. Given it was one class down from a site I would have expected it to be a bit bigger (potentially with double sinks). Additionally the photos for the room on the website were for the suite not the room class we had so falsely advertised. When explained to staff they brushed off my complaint - basically alluding to the fact that I'd already paid so there was noting they'd be prepared to do + some rubbish about booking through expedia which didn't make any sense given we had used their website to look at the photos etc. Other issues were that the room wasn't cleaned one day, and we seemed to lack towels another. That said, the staff were friendly, the rooftop bar is fantastic, and the pool is excellent (its a 4ft pool to pose in though, not to swim). However one day they had reserved the whole pool area for a childrens party, which is pretty bad given that you pay for the facilities more than the room, and I wouldn't call the hotel a child friendly one so its unexpected. Luckily we were leaving that day! All in all, we did enjoyed our stay in Williamsburg, but for the amount of money it would have been best spent elsewhere, the Wythe is just round the corner so I would recommend trying there first.

Nice, but not user friendlyPosted Sep 16, 2013
The hotel is in a great location. The roof top bar and pool area are nice. The problem is, they host weddings and other events. We were there for three nights and couldn't use the bar two of the nights and the pool two of be days. It was always booked for a private event. The rooms don't have a wow factor and are small. Not a lot of bang for the buck.

Best location and scene for WilliamsburgPosted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
A very beautiful hotel with incredible design-features and a high-end restaurant. I loved my room and the pool and roof-deck. The front-desk staff could gather pace a little, but I suppose it is part of the Brooklyn style.

Williamsburg SurprisePosted Aug 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Interesting, young people, artsy neighborhood, but it isn't the type I'm usually interested in but it's very convenient for my work. Modern hotel and reception was very friendly. Very nice pool area with an interesting set up. Room was small but the usual size for some NY hotels. Price was good for a NY hotel. Amenities were basic. There is no coffee maker in the room. There is very limited drawer space. If we need to stay overnight in Williamsburg again we would definitely consider staying here.

Perfect if you're under 35Posted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
While i was looking forward to the much advertised pool, it was actually more of a bar with a pool in the middle. loud pumping music & pitchers of booze- really fun if you were into the scene, but not at all relaxing. Staff lovely, location great. Room nice, but there were no reading lights. just a small lamp on one side of the bed, and the bright overhead. At the price, quite a surprising oversight. Wouldn't stay there again. But i'm over 35.
