Not to be considered hotelPosted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: This stay - nothing.
Cons: The management of the hotel should re-consider the disciplinary measures.
Location: It is a residential area. Not many shops or any other attractions.
From a comfortable and client oriented hotel it turned into a badly managed motel. I have stayed in this hotel during the last 5 years and have never witnessed such a disspointing drop in services. My last stay, a night layover after a transatlantic flight, turned into a sleepless night given that a group of teenagers staying there organized a rap party, which lasted till 4 am - loud music, dancing, screaming, smoking, drunk young people running in the corridors, etc. Not a single person staying at the hotel could sleep that night. Despite numerous complains to the Reception desk, the hotel did not do anything to stop the noise, call the security or the police. The Reception pretended they do not hear what was going on. Should the management consider changing the profile of the hotel from touristic to recreation/disco entity, they should withdraw their membership with Expedia.

NicePosted Apr 1, 2015
Staffs varied, some are extremely helpful and nice. Some I found they regret to come to work that morning. Talking over your head on breakfast time, if you ask they don't answer. Also, I have asked for travel advice, reception didn't even bother to help ?!

Clean hotelPosted Mar 27, 2015
Plastic covers on the mattresses. Horrible!! Took them off. Shower was NOT powerful at all. However, the room was huge - so I don't understand what the other people's comments were about them being small. Clean and modern.

Very nice hotel/staff, undesireable neighborhoodPosted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed was great.
Cons: A good breakfast is important to me. this one was high in processed carbs but they did offer a quality yogurt and hard boiled eggs.
Location: Noisy, bad location. Nothing nearby that I know of. Jamaica, NY used to be Queens and could use a makeover.
The hotel, staff, and rooms were very nice. It was built in 2009, they said. The breakfast was a good continental but difficult to get to food, as the counter space was small and breakfast room crowded. There were hard boiled eggs and a waffle maker for hot choices. The hotel is right on the freeway so car noises all night, unless you're running the heat or A/C for white noise. The neighborhood is run down and there was only a small Chinese takeout restaurant for dinner. A beggar asked for money inside the restaurant. I would use this hotel again since the room was so nice and the price reasonable. Shuttle was on schedule.

Just for long layovers at JFKPosted Mar 18, 2015
Pros: Close to the airport and the 24/7 free shuttle
The hotel is OK; reasonable priced & comfortable (for New York) very convenient for layovers and short stays. Unfortunately is located in a bad neighborhood looks dangerous at night. The free Shuttle is 24/7 on the hour, the staff is efficient. Just a tip for fellow travelers: the courtesy hotel’s shuttles (all of them) pickup is at Federal circle station at reach by just a short ride on the airtrain.
