Overall hotel was okay. It provides necessary needs. The bed was comfortable. Free internet which was good. Plenty of restaurant selections nearby. Subway was quite a distance from hotel.

Definitely not a 5 star...

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: Convenient location near the 7 train. Safe neighborhood. Room was clean.
Cons: Most things. Get keys that work more than 50% of the time.
Location: There is a McDonald's and a nice diner a couple blocks away.
Although still very expensive, this hotel appeared to be the best deal for the price. Although the hotel stay was overall okay, there were many problems during our stay. The check-in staff were not very friendly and did not smile. For the first room we were given, none of the four keys we were given worked. In addition, the third floor hallway smelled strongly of smoke and we could hear in the room next to ours a loud baby screaming and a loud mother. We asked to be switched to another room on a different floor. The only other room available faced Queens Blvd (the main street), but luckily with the fan on, it wasn't too noisy. The room itself was nice and clean, but the bed was not the plushest and the towels were definitely not the softest. With some creativity, there was barely enough room for our four suitcases. Luckily we were not sleeping in, as the curtains do not fully close so a good amount of light gets into the room in the morning. No one in my family could figure out how to put the shower spout on and we had to ask the front desk. Even then, we couldn't get the hot water to work properly. The food at breakfast in the morning was adequate with some kind of egg patty, cereal, fruit, donuts, and croissants. However, at prime breakfast time around 8 AM, we (and several other guests) had to eat our entire breakfast standing up because there was about half as much as seating as there needed to be. The breakfast attendant was quick to refill the food as it emptied.

Serviceable hotel close to public transportation

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: convenience to transportation; relatively low cost
Cons: Fitness center
Location: See above.
Hotel staff friendly. Room was comfortable & clean, though it showed signs of wear & tear. Continental breakfast was adequate. Parking area was crowded, but I found a space. Convenient to subway & bus. Fitness center was tiny & depressing.

They are not very clean especially the bathrooms, also apparently will not pay much attention to the condition of the elements of the room such as furniture faucets etc. We had a leak in the toilet the entire time of the stay and never fixed

Hotel insouciant de sa clientele.

Posted May 24, 2015

Small rooms for 3 or 4 people

Posted May 20, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Location: The hotel is close to metro. There are several markets and restaurants around the hotel.
Rooms were quite small for me and my family (4 people). Hotel staff were careless about our concerns. Towels and bed linings were old and relatively dirty. Because the rooms are close to each other, noise were coming from the other rooms.

Pros: quite

It wasn't bad but the service could be better. I had to wait before I was checked in because the room wasn't ready.

Good location,

Posted May 6, 2015
Pros: Location; very close to the #7 subway
Cons: See above experience
Location: Short train ride to Manhattan (Grand Central Station, 5th Avenue, Times Square)
Second time I have stayed there, and I don't think I'll be back. The main problem is that the help is rude. I had several interactions with them, not once did I hear "thank you" , "please" , "I'm sorry" (they had a lot to apologize for). They seemed to just not care that: They don't have hypoallergenic pillows, just down. The refrigerator freezes everything solid. Same thing last time I stayed here, in a different room. The card keys don't seem to work - I was locked out of my room 4 times the first 24 hours I was there. The Wi-Fi wasn't working for most of one of the days. When the WIFI did work, it was ridiculously slow - slower than dial-up. The TV was not high-def. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling Not once did I hear an apology. My advice to anyone looking for a hotel in this area: Keep looking, there are many other hotels in the area.
