Great location with excellent service

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Please see above. Efficiency, teamwork and friendliness of staff. Cleanliness, space and room amenities. Location and security
Cons: Bar staff could mention that "still water" is $8. I also think there could be a TV comedy series on the coat closet in the bar--pretty lively.
Location: Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, Lord and Taylor shopping
I greatly appreciated the security and location of Langham Place, as I had business at Madison Square Garden. The entire staff were professional and anticipatory--from doormen to front desk to housekeeping. I was impressed with their efficiency, friendliness and willingness to team with each other if someone else was busy. The upstairs' bar and restaurant are "New York prices" but have a good buzz and the food was delicious. I arrived late and the restaurant/bar staff were kind to prepare a lighter version of something on the menu. The downstairs bar was closed during my stay because of a private party. I loved the room space, complimentary water and sodas in the refrigerator, expresso maker, turndown service with the Soundscapes Music and watching the morning news from my bathroom mirror--very nice amenities for busy guests. I would definitely stay here again, and have already recommended it to several friends.

Nicely decorated hotel in a good central location.

We had a lovely stay in a family suite. The room was a great size with a fantastic bathroom. The kitchen was very useful with 3 kids! It was well stocked and had a generous fridge. There was a washing machine and dryer in the room as well. Room service was quick and all the food we ordered arrived hot. A few things let the hotel down for us. Service in the bar was slow and staff were often standing giggling together while we waited to be served. At check out there were items on the Bill that we were told were included but it turned out that was only for the first day there. For example I was told we could have 5 items of clothing pressed for free but this was only on the first day. This should have been explained. I also lost a bag while putting the luggage into the taxi on our return to the airport and while I have contacted the hotel twice about this I have heard nothing from them.

Great location

Pros: Helpful staff. The most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Excellent location.
Cons: View from room (7th floor) was non-existent. Were told it was a courtyard view but it was 90% of a wall.
Location: The Keg room West 36th St, literally round the corner with great food and atmosphere (Irish sports bar). Eat amazing Chinese/Korean on West 35th St
The hotel is situated within easy walking distance of Macy's as well as tons of mid-town shopping. Had a great stay here and was a perfect location for getting around Manhattan generally. Use the subway to get downtown.

Great stay

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Can not say as did not have enough time
Location: It's 5-th ave and 37 st, i.e. close to: Empire State Building, Rockfeller centre, Times square, Circle line sightseeing cruise pier, Central park
It's all about location- close to everything and I mean it. Very clean room, comfortable with good coffee machine. Did not use fitness center or spa- stayed only for 2 days. Stuff was very helpfull and cooperative. Certanly will stay again

MODERN SLEEK MINIMALISTIC LUXURY

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: Clean, sleek, smells terrific, rooms large. Bathrooms luxury all the way.
Cons: Cannot think of anything
Location: Great location close to Herald Square and Penn Station subway stations. Easy to get to Time Square. Several nearby restaurants like Keens famous steak
I LOVE this hotel and this is our second stay. Last year it was under the name Setai. the place is beautiful and sleek and clean. Luxury all the way and the fridge is stocked with water and soft drinks that are included in the room and Nespresso coffee maker.

36 and 5th Ave - Location!!

Friendly greeting with high energy staff. Very welcoming and high end service. Onlynissuenwas condition of carpet. Could be cleaner as it was a little run down. Everything else was perfect with high class. People, rooms, lobby, door men. We used the house car (Maserati) to get uptown, which was a treat. Great driver and lovely auto. We will return no question. Great view of Empire State Building from our corner unit.

Stunning hotel, ideal location &1st class service

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Everything but in particular the staff were very attentive and could not do enough to assist - umbrella, taxi, directions, bookings, reservations etc
Cons: It is difficult to criticise anything about the Langham Place Hotel but if I was pushed I would say the lighting in the room is not that bright.
Location: Perfect location on 5th Ave off 36th St. Shopping heaven is 2 minutes walk as is Bryant Park. 10 mins walk to Times Square.
We were treated like royalty from the first minute to the last. Reception staff, Concierge staff, bar staff, restaurant staff and management were all exceptional. Asked for an upgrade on arrival as we were staying four nights and paid $50 per night for a room on 14th floor, which was well worth it. Great view and all mod cons in room.
