Overall the experience was good. Room was small but had everything we needed. Only thing is I belive they could be more attentive to room cleanliness.

Dump

Posted Jul 24, 2014
The place is a dump. 1) bad smell in hallways 2) trash in ice bucket 3) tears in tub Curtin 4) sink deprecated from wall 5) tub Curtin rod bent down 6) towel bars bent down 7) VERY small bath towels ( had to use two each shower) 8) no communication between front office staff ( I asked and granted late checkout for 12:00 by front desk, yet housekeeping knocked on my door at 11:00) 9) not clean under the bed I think that is enough to make my point.

Front desk has no customer service skills. I stood in front of her for a min or two before she attended to me. Cleaners are friendly

First off, please remove JFK Airport from Hotel title. JFK Airport is still a few miles south of hotel location and it is not anywhere near the airport property. I find the hotel overpriced for its location. The neighborhood is on the less than desirable. The room had a smell of a previous smoker but the room was labeled as "Non-Smoking". The single chair in my room could have used a a good steam cleaning, the fabric was heavily stained on the armrest and seat back. The T.V. didn't have a remote control either. There is only a few channels available so it wasn't a big deal for me. Bottom line, stay here only if you HAVE no other choice.

Over all good experience with staff and room service. Close by to major grocery and market. Parking is a problem there as the hotel has a small parking lot.

Old Hotel In bad neighborhood (Queens)

Posted Jun 10, 2014
Pros: The buffet.
Cons: Just about everything.
Location: Location was In a run down part of Queens. Not a lot to do In this area except stay Indoors.
Glad I only stayed two nights. Guy at the front desk had the personality of a wet blanket. My Non- smoking room was obviously smoked In at some point In time. Think they just put a non-smoking sticker on the door after they tried to clean up the room. Cigarette burns on the bed cover. Very uncomfortable bed. Was like sleeping on a piece of steel. No safety latches or screens on the windows. A child could easily fall to the ground without supervision. Elevator struggled to function correctly. The buffet was decent and that's about It. A second person that worked the front desk (A young girl) was rude. By far the worst hotel I ever stayed at.

Noisy along the road and very limited space for parking, the bath sink didn't work well
