Quick NYC StayPosted Jan 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
My friends and I came to NYC for a concert. The hotel is lovely, the staff is friendly, and helpful. I was even given a free room upgrade to accommodate an extra guest. Overall, great hotel.

Lovely hotel, great service, convenient location.Posted Jan 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a very nice hotel on Park Avenue. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely room with a balcony. The hotel is conveniently located. It is only one block from Madison Avenue; Barney's is just behind the hotel. Serendipity 3 is within walking distance of the hotel. Parking is $77 per night; no in & out. The parking garage is just behind the hotel. Self park is $55 per night so you could save $22 per night by parking yourself plus have access to your vehicle. Upon check-out we waited nearly 30 minutes for our car to be brought around. We would definitely stay at this hotel in the future.

Will miss it during renovationPosted Dec 25, 2012
Pros: residential feeling, many regulars, doesnt feel touristy, great atmosphere in the bar
Cons: cold and unfriendly check in service every time
Location: great location
we will miss the Loews for the next year but understand as they need the renovation. The area that continues to need more training is the check in, curt and doesnt acknolwledge repeat customers. Service is better everywhere else in the hotel if you get over the initial impression which is not in line with the image of the hotel.

Great location, but a little in need of an upgradePosted Dec 21, 2012 on Hotels.com
Rooms need an upgrade, I guess from the sign I saw that is on the agenda.I was very annoyed that although i signed up for wifi for "24 hours"on Monday at 5:30 pm, it was turned off at noon on Tuesday although my stay was continuous.

Location, location, location.Posted Dec 4, 2012
Cons: no coffee/tea machine
Location: Park avenue is quieter than Fifth, Madison & Times Square. Walk everywhere from here.
Terrific location, wonderful staff, lovely suite...closing for a refit...consider heating the bathroom floors...add a coffee/tea machine. Had a wonderful time! Thanks

Good, but not good enough. 2 major gripes!Posted Dec 4, 2012
I had 2 gripes. The first was major construction noise all day(which was beyond annoying, bordering on ridiculous!) followed by the noise of recess on a playground at a nearby school. Awful when you're trying to concentrate, and work. I knew that the hotel was sold out, and did not bother asking for another room. My second gripe was the fact that I worked in the room all day Sunday, and when I called down at 6pm to say that I was FINALLY leaving for dinner and wanted housekeepimg to do the room, they said that it was too late for regular housekeeping service. They said that they would only provide new towels and make my bed. This is not adequate for a hotel of this caliber. Housekeepimg should be available 24/7.

Cons: Old building
Great location. Friendly staff. Spacious rooms, but the building is showing its age.

Thanksgiving on Park AvenuePosted Nov 30, 2012
Pros: Friendliness of the staff.
Cons: The bolt on my door didn't work properly. I reported it, but they didn't fix it during my stay.
Location: Park Avenue is lovely.
The staff was very friendly and cheerful. Breakfast was delicious. The decorations for Christmas were lovely. I think the dogs enjoyed the atmosphere also.
