“More than i expect.”
Everything was nice. My room was brand new. Modern style. With kutchen, refrigerator, microwave and all you need for 2 people (china, glasses, cookware). The stafff was extremly friendy. Starting with Stella and also my friend Kim. She helped me every time i need it. The location was great, 4 blOcks from Times Square. I definetly like the place and the staff. Thank you Stella. Thank you Kim. I hope i can go some day again.
“Great stay”
Great place to stay! great for a long weekend and super close to the Javats Center
“Very nice place to stay.”
Pleasantly surprised and in a great location. Would stay there again.
“Inexpensive Surprise in NYC!”
This is an old apt. building that's been converted into a hotel. Each room is comfortable with a tiny kitchenette. It's not the fanciest place "on the block" but it was extraordinarily inexpensive and the staff was amazing!
“Best value for your stay in Manhattan”
I spent hours on the Internet trying to find a decent, affordable place to stay in Manhattan. And this was my best solution! The key aspect to this hotel is its prime location...a 5-10 minute walk from the essentials of NYC (Times Square, Broadway, etc.) The one thing that I will recommend to guests is to walk to/from the hotel on 42nd St. (not 41st St. where the hotel is located), as 42nd St. is where all the attractions are and is more well-lit with stores and shops. The hotel facilities itself was satisfying. It's a bit old...you're not going to find the same quality as you would in a big hotel chain, but everything here was clean and comfortable. I especially like the little kitchenette area with its own stovetop, kitchen appliances, microwave, and another sink! Having two sinks in a single room (one in the kitchenette area and one in the bathroom) made my stay there that much more convenient. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there last week and would go back to this hotel in the future. Great for anyone willing to give up the expensive, luxury stay of a premium hotel for an affordable, sufficient place.
“Great Deal, Great Location, Great Room”
This was a really nice place to stay. The room was very affordable, and the staff very helpful. The rooms all have private balconies which was a nice added feature. Walking distance from Times Square and Central Park, but just far enough away from all the happenings. Great local food and drink within just a few blocks.
“Nice Place to stay”
Metro Hotel is a great place to stay is in the heart of Times Square, but at the same time away from the noise and lights. It felt like a place away from Home, The Staff is friendly and really helpfull. I will recomended to anybody that would like a nice Apartament/home feeling like hotel to stay.
“Impressed - would go back!”
The hotel was clean and spacious. The kitchenette was stocked with dishes, silverware, and pans. Bathroom had full tub and shower that worked great. Could have used a bar of soap in bathroom, and dish soap and paper towels in kitchen area. Luckily I had my own body wash for the shower! Only 3 blocks from Time Square!!
“Great budget deal”
I had a very pleasant stay in the Metro apartments. The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. For people on a budget this would be an ideal place to stay because of the apartments close proximity to the theater district, transporation, great resturants. I was surprised how clean the rooms. Two recommendations: 1. provide more hot water to take longer showers 2. update the windows or place plastic over them to prevent the outside from entering. Overall I will stay there again.
“Convenient for W 42nd St. Theatre Row, inexpensive, well equipped dump”
The neighborhood is noisy and traffic-filled. The hotel has no lobby or amenities at entrance. But it is less expensive than almost anything else in its neighborhood and includes clean little apartment-rooms equipped with table, desk, chairs, stove, microwave, fridge, dishes, silverware, cooking pots and pans, coffee maker, and a good TV and small bathroom. To stay inexpensively and walk to the West 42nd Street Theatre Row and restaurants, it is very convenient.
