“Quiet Neighborhood close to Grand Central, UN and Rockefeller Center”
I stayed 3 nights with my friend and our 10 year old daughters. We felt very safe and the staff was very helpful. The lobby and hotel are a bit dated with a very 80s style, but the hallway and rooms were quite nice. Great views of the city and quiet at night. Only a short walk from Grand Central Station.
“Perfect as is”
A very nice place. Comfortable rooms with a great view. Wonderful staff.
“comfortable bed, but poorly maintained”
Good: Bed was very comfortable and new furniture was nice. Very helpful doorman. Bad: Could not get shower head to spray properly and water leaked from tap. Base of floor lamp was filthy. No wash cloths. Only one waste paper basket. No coffee maker (must request). Ironing board was very flimsy.
“Good value for the rate”
Location was pretty good and the neighborhood is safe. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was larger than most of the places I've stayed in NYC, but the carpet had so many stains that it was hard to identify its original color and the bathroom was not only outdate, but dirty. It is a good hotel for the money, but not worth four stars or higher.
“"Wonderful staff "”
The staff was the highlight of our stay. They were so eager to please, and so nice, They deserve a big raise! The place needs an update soon!!! great location the view incredible! We would stay there again.
“Great Value, But Be Prepared To Walk”
This is one of the best values in Manhattan. The rooms are significantly larger than those in most hotels, especially for Midtown. The rooms are comfortable with lovely views of the city. The staff was friendly. And all of this was significantly less expensive than lower-quality hotels. The clear compromise is the location. It's a good five or six blocks to the nearest subway station. If the weather is at least half-decent and you don't mind that walk, it's an excellent choice.
“Not a four-star hotel”
The hotel is conveniently located but good things end here. Room are big but very old. I definetely would not go there again
“A nice change”
People were very friendly especially bellmen. They were great. So was front desk. Rooms a little tired, older. Great view of the city. Safe area.
“Great view”
Impressive view of the UN, the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. Amazing NY experience in this sense
“Worthwhile experience”
Staff were friendly and accommodating. Neighborhood was quiet for NY and access to all parts of NYC were relatively easy. Definitely look to try it out!
