Great location in Midtown

Great base within walking distance of Central Park and Times Square. Plenty of space in the room. Very busy hotel but large lobby with bar and coffee shop which was open late. Very expensive... But it is NYC!

Nice hotel and well located

Nice business hotel, priced for business travelers. I would have appreciated having a coffee machine or a kettle in the room. Also there was no minibar in the room.

Seven People, Two Rooms, Two Nights

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Location– This hotel was just blocks from everything we wanted to do while in NYC.
Cons: Larger beds, more towels, lower rates
Location: MOMA is down the street, Connolly's Pub is two blocks away, the world seem to pass thru the lobby.
I'd never stayed at this Hilton so everything was new to me, and I can happily report that things went very well and very smoothly. We located the valet parking with no problems and dropped our car off for the weekend. My first impression of the lobby was that it reminded me of an airport, i.e. vast hallways with travelers going every which-way. Check-in was smooth and uneventful. Our rooms were on the Executive Level with an express elevator taking us to those floors. The rooms were perfectly fine if somewhat under-decorated. The full-size beds were comfortable if a bit snug for two adults. The bathrooms were a bit small but everything was clean and in good working order. There were only two bath towels which seemed odd for a two-bed room. Our mini-fridge apparently hadn't been cleaned as we discovered a few half-empty soda bottles in it. That was a bit disconcerting as it made me wonder what other corners had been cut by the cleaning staff? The Executive Level comes with access to the Executive Lounge which is on the ground floor. It's a nice place that provides a complimentary continental breakfast and drinks.

Large, busy but high quality hotel

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Very nice clean room at a very good price for this location and quality. Walkable to several subway stations, Times Square, Central Park, Fifth Avenue Shopping and many restaurants. Very busy, large hotel with a mix of business people and North American and International tourists.

Pros: Rooms are not noisy- a real plus in the city
Cons: Checkout was a nightmare. Huge lines- none of the staff seemed concerned. Several people standing around not pitching in
Location: Great location
Great location, staff not as professional or attentive as I'd like. Plan extra time to check out.
