Perfect location in New York CityPosted Jul 3, 2015
The New York Hilton Midtown has Asim excellent location. It's walking distance from Central Park, the Fifth Avenue Shopping District and several attractions such as the Museum of modern art and Times Square. Great location for walking access to great midtown restaurants too. The strengths and weaknesses were as follows: Strengths 1. Very quick check in and check out 2. Comfortable room where everything worked 3. Comfortable bed and mattress 4. Friendly staff Weaknesses 1. Bathroom was slightly below average for a 5 star 2. Limited towels in bathroom 3. No welcome gift or chocolate 4. No complimentary water bottles 5. Limited selection of restaurants Ultimately, we found it good value for money.

Hilton DisappointmentPosted Jul 3, 2015
I requested a king bed with a view for 2. I got a double bed in a very small room located between the ice machine and the elevator. Could hear every conversation outside my door. Found a ladies shoe in my room and food on the floor. Requested a new room and was told no, they were full. Checkout was 12, I needed to go to the airport at 2:00. It cost me 3.50 a bag for the bell captain to hold the bags for us while we had lunch. Long lines to drop off bags and pick them up. Overall a very bad experience

Awesome Hotel in a Perfect Location to Everything!Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Breakfast, lots of mirrors in the room, beautiful lobby, location
Cons: Shouldn't charge to store luggage for guests of the hotel
Location: Perfect location close to all the popular sights! Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, Central Park, 5th Avenue shopping, Broadway, etc.
This was our first trip to NYC and we couldn't have chosen a better hotel. The lobby is beautiful! There was some construction going on around the outside of the building, but they kept it hidden quite well. Starbucks was across the street in two directions! Location was excellent for walking to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue shopping, Broadway, Radio City Music Hall, Apple Store, and Central Park. My daughters slept on the sofa bed and said it was the most comfortable one they've ever laid on. The room and bathroom were a little small, but there were several built-ins to help keep things organized. If you're traveling for a girls' trip, this hotel is perfect! There were so many mirrors in the room! My daughters and I never had to fight over mirror space. We were charged for microwave/refrigerator rental at the end of the trip. We didn't use the fridge or rent a microwave and the hotel was happy to credit the charge with no questions asked. The breakfast was wonderful! We had tickets for the sit down buffet, but since we didn't want to take the time for that, the employees at the cafe let us use our tickets there. Only negative was that if you're leaving later in the day, the hotel will charge $3.50 per bag to store your luggage! They do not charge to store it at the beginning of your stay; however, if your room isn't ready. Kind of crappy since this hotel is not cheap! Overall great experience though.

Hotel should be demolished - totally overpricedPosted Jul 1, 2015
"Executive" rooms are very small and even though we were told they had been recently renovated, fall very far short of international standards! Room is very small, bathroom even smaller, carpets outdated, walls paper thin, large gap between door and carpet so you hear every small noise outside. We checked in, asked to be moved but were told hotel is full and they can't do anything. Well we did something by checking out the next morning (would have checked out that same night but after a 12 hour flight just wanted to sleep). Would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. It is way overpriced for the poor quality. We got a MUCH better room which was more central at the same price at Intercontinental. We stay in many hotels all over the world and this was certainly one of our worst experiences.

Hilton @ MidtownPosted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Staff, rooms, location!
Cons: There is no refrigerator in the room I stayed, but it's not a deterrent. Bar is too expensive.
Location: Central Park, MOMA and Times Square!!!
Hotel was great, staff were very friendly. There was a false fire alarm pulled and seemed to have a lot of police at the hotel the days following, not sure what it was all about, but the staff were excellent at keeping everything professional and calm. The hotel is great and look forward to stating there again.

Location wise was great being only few blocks from Times Square and Central Park. Bathroom only part of room in need of modernisation.

Tolle Lage, aber übervoll und etwas chaotischPosted Jun 30, 2015
Sehr schönes Hotel in bester Lage.

Amazing Hotel in NYPosted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Everything ! We asked for an angle room and we got it with a pretty amazing view !
Cons: Maybe we would like to have a French channel on the television
We stayed for 10 days and we had everything we asked for, the breakfast was pretty good, the room (bed etc..) were perfect and the view was really amazing !

Nice locationPosted Jun 29, 2015
Cons: Train the staff to be more efficient, welcoming and give customers more informayption about what tage hotel has to offer...not just here is your keys
Location: Close to shopping, restaurant and subway.
The front desk services was not welcoming, line up was long for regular check in and out receptionists were not welcoming. Stayed for the location, will try other hotels my next visit to Ney York.
