Handy location to get to Manhattan

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff with good knowledge of tourist attractions and transport options.
Cons: I know this is trivial but the cereal bowls were square so I couldn't get the last drops of milk out with my spoon!
Location: Near to Brooklyn bridge so would recommend walking over to Manhattan island from here - fantastic views of NY skyline on the way.
Excellent hotel close to Manhattan either by foot or subway (2 stations to choose from). Breakfast was excellent with good selection but is not included in room rate and is rather expensive at $20 per person (for cold buffet) but this seems to be the norm for New York in general. Amenities good. Pool was bigger than what we expected. Staff suggested that we catch the free open-top bus from outside the hotel to Times Square. The bus left the hotel at 10am and took 90 minutes but was a great way to see some of the sights before setting off on our own.

Good hotel, well-situated and with a pool.

Close to two subways so really easy to get to Manhattan. The hotel also has a free open-top bus trip to Times Square each morning. There's also plenty to do locally in Brooklyn Heights, great places to eat, and a really nice walk along the river with spectacular views of Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. The children loved the pool in the hotel. Just make sure when you book that there are enough beds in the room if you are a family group, as we ran into problems with this and had to get it sorted through making quite a few phonecalls before travelling, and apparently others have also.

Very pleased!

Pros: Close proximity to the Metro, the parking garage, nice, friendly staff and clean rooms with nice amenities.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: Excellent location for anything you want to do or anywhere you want to go.
Never stayed in NY before but would definitely come back after staying in this hotel. The room was very clean, the staff was very pleasant and the hotel parking garage and staff could not have been any nicer. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. The hotel is in close proximity to the Metro as well which means you can leave your car parked while you travel about the city. Check out from the hotel was @ 11 a.m. and we were able to leave our car in the garage until 3:30 p.m. which worked out great.

Gorgeous room overlooking the Brooklyn bridge and east river! Cleaned every day, bed was the comfiest we have ever slept in! Hotel right near subway (jay st) hotel bar was lovely as was the bartender! Couldn't fault this hotel at all. It was my 40th and hubby's 50th whilst we stayed and we felt we were very well looked after! Thanks!!

Very pleasant staff from check in to bar to restaurant to bell staff. The room was great. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to shopping and the promenade and park by the river. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Nice hotel near a great neighborhood!

We used to live in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood. We love the Brooklyn bridge park and promenade and this hotel is conveniently located next to this neighborhood. Great hotel, decently clean and friendly staff.

poor breakfast service

Posted May 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
Breakfast receptionist was shocking in her delivery each day of stay. Although breakfast included in stay, each day she checked with front desk and on first morning would not seat us before confirmation. When 'cleared' she reluctantly pointed to a table and left. At no tine did she explain the buffet service or breakfast arrangement. Thankfully the waiter was full of smiles and delivered professional service.
