Cons: The bathroom door needs adjusting (room 439) It would not stay open.
Location: Perfect location for us. Near our children. Near to Cadman Plaza park. Easy walk to anything you might need.
We loved the pool and exercise room. The hotel is beginning to show some wear and tear, but seemed clean, and we were very comfortable there.

We like this hotel because it's location and environment are good. Restaurants, pharmacy, entrances of several different subways are all in walking distance.

Convenient Brooklyn Hotel

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Rooms Service
Location: See above story
It was a crazy drive form Ohio to Brooklyn. We arrived at the hotel at 8pm and it was even crazier. There was a wedding party and a graduation dance for what I assume was a local high school. All of that crazy did not deter the amazingly professional staff at the Brooklyn Marriott. They got all four of our rooms checked in and the details to park our oversized van in a NY minute. I was super disappointed to find out at check in that they did not have room service. We were tired and the thought of going out to eat did not appeal to me. I had my 9 year old daughter and a very tired husband with me. They did have a bar/lounge/ restaurant that was very sheik looking. It was just off the lobby and they front desk staff indicated we could go there. We do not drink so taking my daughter in a bar was another heavy piece of news. But we went over after we went up to the room (which was beautiful). The lounge was stunning, the wait staff, very professional and absolutely NY cool and the food was out of this world. The seating was just lovely...very lounge like. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire eating experience. In the morning we were told where a great Brooklyn diner was....just steps away from the hotel. After breakfast we walked over the Brooklyn Bridge (a first for me and my family), came back, went to the hotel gym (lovely) then off to perform at a benefit (my husband is Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Jorma Kaukonen), came back to the hotel and left the next morning for Ohio. A++

Staff very nice and friendly

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: very clean, staff helpful
Cons: the room wasn't ready till late in the afternoon
Location: Brooklyn Bridge and surrounding neighborhood seemed safe and there was plenty to do within a short walking distance Next time I go to NYC I will s
After enjoying a historical walking tour of the Brooklyn Bridge we appreciated the neighborhood and a clean hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. We strolled about the neighborhood dining at suggested local restaurants and loved our late night walk to the bridge. People were friendly, there was a visible, helpful police presents that made us feel at ease. I loved Brooklyn.

Brooklyn Marriott

Posted Jun 6, 2015
Pros: Convenient location, larger room for the New York area.
Cons: I chose Marriott because I like nice linens. Our duvet had hard little wads of stuffing every foot or so and was not appealing and very disappointed.
Location: On Adams street which is an extension of the Brooklyn Bridge. We ate at the Shake Shack which was excellent.
Very nice hotel in a good location in Brooklyn. Easy walk to the bridge, Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn Historical Society museum, Dumbo and the Promenade. Lots of restaurants in the area within an easy walk. Felt safe walking in this area. Our room #610 was very noisy from street traffic and other guests. A load of airline personnel came in at 2:43 am and were talking loudly in the hall and then spent 20 minutes going from room to room slamming doors as they went. Although this wasn't the hotels fault, the walls are apparently very thin or not insulated.

If this wasn't a Marriott, I wouldn't be so harsh

Posted May 28, 2015
I was expecting much more from a Marriott but the hotel itself is really old (my bath tub painting was peeling and it was really disgusting so shower in it). Besides, they have removed the dining facilities, so now you have to pay $50 to access the breakfast buffet. This price includes several things, but if you are in New York, you hardly spend time in your hotel. The room was clean, and hotel staff helpful (but not really friendly). Internet is not included, hard to understand why there are still hotels which assume that this is not a basic need.
