Excellent Time's Square location.

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: More ice machines. Long walk to get ice after walking all day.
Location: Manhattan at your fingertips.
Hotel made the whole trip to New York enjoyable. Center of the city, close to everything.

Great hotel for a family!

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. Valet parking our car was a breeze and everyone was very helpful!
Location: Right next to Times Square; just a few blocks from less touristy restaurants on 9th avenue; right next to several main theatres.
This hotel is in a great location, and the staff is great. The rooms are very clean and the hospitality staff are very accommodating.

Great location in the heart of Times Square

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Location, Location, Location - ideal for shows and sight seeing.
Cons: Wifi access in the lobby is appreciated, would be better if wifi were free of charge throughout the hotel.
Ideal location for our family with 2 teens to sight see and enjoy the evening shows on Broadway. Close to subway station made getting around NYC very easy. Check out services were convenient as we left our luggage at the front desk in the morning, who delivered our bags to the taxi stand later in the afternoon for our evening flights. Thanks!

Didn't have to interact with the staff at all, so I can't really speak of them. The room was a standard and was huge! Glad we didn't upgrade. Everything about the hotel, including the room, was very clean. The location was the best part. 2 subway stations near by, front door lets out into times square, Broadway theaters across the street, awesome view!!!

Hotel nyc

Hotel was decent. I expected better rooms for a Marriott. Let alone in time square.

Excellent location!

Pros: Location, location, location!!! And it felt very fancy with a reasonable cost.
Cons: The pull out sofa beds were not very comfortable:(
Location: Broadway, dining and catching all the tour buses.
We were thrilled with our hotel and the location, especially to all the theaters. Aside from the fact they didn't have the room we booked=which was remedied the next day, we were pleased with the room size, comfort and cleanliness. We looked forward to returning from a long day out on the city.

A Diamond in the Rough

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: I only stayed at this hotel, the Marriott Marquis, because the Symposium was held there.
Cons: Yes, the prices are outrageous, and, the 8th floor "food court" has less ambiance than that of a local shopping mall.
Location: The Shuttle from LaGuardia airport took longer than my 2 hour plane ride from Florida. Traffic was very heavy. The hotel is nearby Broadway theaters.
My last visit to Manhattan was several years ago. This Chicagoan was impressed by it's cleanliness and it's very reasonable pricing. Not this time. The Marriott Marquis is an island in a sea of squalor. But for some reason it's pricing is sky high. Unless you're there for the Broadway shows, the Marquis is just off Broadway, choose another venue. The Marquis is not a good value.
