Great Times Square based vacation!

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Safe clean comfortable luxury hotel! Convenient Times Square location but uptown just enough to also be close to Rockefeller Cntr, 5th Ave and Central Park. Paid extra for an awesome view. Beds were very comfortable and room was quiet. 3rd stay here and will be back. Not the cheapest but well worth it.

5 Day Break

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Clean, Quiet and Comfortable Location right around the corner from Times Square
Cons: Coffee Machine in the room would be the only thing I would add.
Location: Visit Observation Rock this had a better view than Empire State Building, we used Grayline tours, we arranged ours through Expedia.
Never visited NYC and picked this hotel from reading great reviews and it really is great, rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable and the beds fantastic. The hotel is right around the corner from Times Square I could not believe it. The Hotel has a Terrace which you enter from the bar and this gives you fantastic views of Times Square, we will stay there again, the location was safe and a good location to get around. Angel the doorman ordered us our car for taking us to our cruise ship and he had it there 15 minutes before ready and waiting. I have given this hotel five stars.

Great Location

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Good location, close to times square, clean.
Cons: The bathroom could be bigger
Location: Close to many shops, restaurants and delis.
We only stayed at Novotel for 3 nights but were satisfied with our overall experience. Friendly staff which were really helpful. The room was clean and nicely designed. The hotel was also walking distance to times square which was really convenient.

Excellent Location but.........

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Loved the location and the outside patio area on the main floor
Cons: bar service,
Location: Breakfast at Europa cafe, 1 block away with a subway station next door, near Times Square aswell
Great location, but the rooms are very badly designed, the lighting is terrible both in the room and the very very small bathroom. Could also do with a coffee machine in the room. Outside patio bar service is very poor, could do with extra staff as it is popular

Pros: Very modern and nice.
Location: Right in Times Square. Very easy to get around from here.
The hotel is located at Times Square. We loved how easy it was to get everywhere. The one draw back is when you go into the hotel you take an elevator up to the lobby and then have to go to another bank of elevators to go to your room. Some times you had to wait awhile for room on the first elevator. We would have taken stairs if they were readily available.

Novotel Times Square. Great location and brand new

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Right now, nothing.
Location: Travel uptown a few streets to see some nice restaurants or head towards the Meatpacking District. Times Square and the Theatres are on your doorstep.
I think it is important to give a bit of background for reviews so: The trip was for a 40th birthday with the intention of being in amongst the hustle and bustle of the city with plenty of nearby facilities. I dont mind paying a bit extra for quality but i want value for money too. im not prepared to be ripped off. The entrance to the building has been updated from the photos we saw before going and it has clearly had a full renovation from top to bottom. Everywhere was new and spotless from the entrance to top floor room. We had a room on the 28th floor which gave great views over the city and the room itself had everything you need other than maybe a kettle and hair dryer. Remember a 240VUK hair dryer will seem asthmatic on US 110V. WiFi is free in the lobby which is on the 5th floor or you can pay 10US dollars per day for your room. The free lobby WiFi says 2 hours but you can put any name in there and start again. The concierge told of this. What separates this hotel I believe is the terrace bar leading out from the lobby/bar. Sitting outside on the 5th floor day or night it fantastic as you look straight at Times Square. There is no other hotel near that has this but surprisingly it was never that busy. Maybe 10US dollars for a pint of beer is too much but not with these views! Overall I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone. What a great experience.

great hotel close to Times Square

Posted Jun 24, 2014
stayed here with my daughter for 5 nights. the reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. check in with very quick. Wi-Fi is available free in the lobby area. Within the rooms there is a charge however if you complete a form to become an Accor loyalty member then you receive 14 days free Wi-Fi in your room for 3 devices. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed in Room 1920 which had a great view of Times Square. The room is equipped with a safe, fridge and a very large wall mounted TV. The hotel staff assisted us quickly when we had a problem with the safe and also to ensure that the return shuttle to the air[port was confirmed. The Bellmen were extremely helpful when we had a problem when our shuttle back to JFK didn't turn up. They rang the company (Super SHuttle - dont ever use these!!!) to check what the problem was. Unfortunately despite their best efforts we ended up being provided with a limo to take us to JFK and although this cost $60 I will be reclaiming this from Super SHuttle. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a central location in the bustle of Times Square. Its close to Central Park, 5th Avenue and the many subways to take you downtown. The 911 Memorial is well worth a visit and is a truely maginificant place and one to contemplate what occured there. THe lovely parks around Union Square and Washington Place are lovely to sit and relax for a while.
