Nice hotelPosted Mar 10, 2014
Perfect location, amazing view, near to a lot of local restaurants. The room didn't have a refrigerator which was a little inconvenient, but otherwise the stay was good!!

Nice hotel - sparse but functional and clean roomsPosted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: Location - not too far from Times Square but away from the crowds, safe area, easy to get taxi.
Cons: Bathroom modernization/repairs, more efficient and flexible room temp controls.
Location: Right near UN, not too far from Times Square and restaurants, etc. without being right in the middle of the crowds.
Bathrooms could be modernized (some cracked tiles, leaking faucets), and both visits room remote did not work though desk sent replacement quickly.

First Time for someone specialPosted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: Location and excellent standards through out
Cons: carnt wait for the east tower to be refurbed because if the west is anything to go by it will be amazing
A brilliant hotel away from the hustle and bussell of 5th ave with fantastic views ,from someone who has been to New York several times this hotel is a must....try to stay in the WEST tower and take advantage of the exclusive skyline club free to those who stay on the 30th floor or higher

really good stay, really good placePosted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: staff great! good location. Felt safe with all embassy, UN security, cops around
Cons: No pay per view in rooms? No free WiFi? Come on!
Location: great restaurants and shops a bit west of hotel.
great staff! Clean room. Killer view from 33rd floor. Nice cafe. Ambassador Grille didn't even try: Too expensive! continental breakfast: $21 bucks for bagel and yogurt? Come on.

Great location, but hotel furnishings are shabby.Posted Feb 11, 2014
Good - across from UN Bad - sofa in room was falling apart. They put new pillows on it to camoflauge it. Whole room was that way. Walls were beat up, but bed looked nice. Dust- Grime all over the extension cord. Need to bring your own extension cord if you want to plug in by bed. Pool is great concept, but ceiling is a disaster. They covered it by hanging fabric over the ceiling. Don't look close at anything'

Pros: Good location for where we needed to be.
Cons: The hotel needs to be updated.
Location: Close to grand central terminal which is where we needed to be.
Got upgraded to a 2 level suite. Very nice front desk. Hotel could use some updating. Rooms are a bit dated, but nice overall.

Refurbishing?Posted Jan 25, 2014
I was in a part of the hotel which looks a little bit old. It sounds like there was another part of the hotel much better but didn't saw it.

Great hotel location in NYC -Posted Jan 22, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, friendly professional staff and quiet classy lounge and a great breakfast dining room
Cons: No ice machine on each floor....and a coffee machine in room would have been perfect. And a per day fee for WIFI seemed inconsistent with the style
Location: Walking distance to Rockerfeller Plaza and St. Pat's Cathedral. Corner store nearby and a very good Irish bar (classy not noisy) nearby..Location was
Hotel was great, staff superb, great lounge area & breakfast dining room. Perfectly a few blocks away from noisy Times Square area , near Rockerfeller Center. A corner store a half block up (to bring goodies back to room) and great Irish place (delicious food and great price) nearby.
