Very Nice hotel in Midtown Manhattan

Posted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: It was a good place to walk around and a good place to stay!
Cons: I wished my room was ready when I had arrived at the hotel. I had called a day earlier and it made no difference. I was so tired coming from JFK.
Location: Walk all the way up on Madison Ave. to visit world-class designer shops, unique macaron bakeries and lots of stuff!!
I had a wonderful stay here. You're paying for a high quality, exceptional stay. They have huge closets that light up when you open it and the bathrobe was the best. During cold nights, I relied on their hotel bathrobes. Their mini bar had a variety of premium snacks but they were very expensive when checking out. The carpet was very clean & the entire room, including the bathroom was very clean too. The hotel's hygiene products were spa quality. Electronics, shower heads, faucets worked very well. Hot, soft water came out fast. I really enjoyed the mirrors in my bathroom, especially the vanity mirror. The bed actually had a thick cover to keep you warm. The door had extra locks for protection. My view from the window wasn't glamorous but it didn't bother me too much. It's a great place to stay if you plan to do some tourism. I walked everywhere. Everything is 5-25 mins away (great food & attractions). I would stay here again. When I left to the airport, they got me a cab & asked if I got my phone charger. The guys in the front are very professional. The maids and ladies are ok, but not as courteous as men here.

From start to finish my kids and I had a great experience. We could not walk in or out of the hotel without a friendly greeting, rooms were great, and service was outstanding. We'll definitely stay again.

Central Location

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Rooms, central location for sightseeing, quiet area close to Times Square but away from the crowds and the noise
Cons: Location is a bit far from hip restaurant and nightlife areas, but that is not the hotel's fault. Service was pretty impeccable.
Location: Not a whole lot of restaurants nearby. Closest area (other than the overpriced mess that is Times Square) is probably Hell's Kitchen.
The Omni Berkshire is an unassuming building, with a nice (but not grand) lobby. I was pleasantly surprised with the room size, which was large for NYC standards. Our room faced the back alley, which I preferred since it was very quiet, although 52nd Street is not loud so being on the main side would have probably given us a nicer view. The bathroom is a bit small, but manageable for 2. The location is convenient for access to sites, like Rockefeller, Times Square (a quick 10 min walk), the subway (about 4 blocks) and Central Park (about 8 blocks). It is a supreme location for shopping, with a Ferragamo a mere half a block away. Not a whole lot of restaurants or bars nearby. Overall, it was an excellent stay in a location that is central and convenient for sightseeing. However, in the future I think I'd rather stay in a neighborhood like Chelsea or Tribeca for better nightlife.

Fantastic girls weekend experience

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Location and the extremely comfortable beds. I slept like a rock.
Location: Close to great shopping, Times Square and the theatre district and a plethora of fantastic restaurants.
Very comfortable, spoil kind of weekend. Close to great shopping, restaurants and shows. Will absolutely stay there again the next time I'm back in NYC. And sign up for the Omni Select Guest program. The loyalty perks are fantastic including a perfect morning beverage served in room. What a great way to start your day.
