An excellent mid town base.

Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Wifi should be free throughout the hotel.
The Omni is a really good place to stay in mid town Manhattan. Quite small, but friendly, reasonably priced and comfortable. A good dining room. The staff were excellent, particularly in the way they responded to the challenge of the January blizzard that did not happen! The only downside is that wifi in the bedrooms is not free - a mistake on management's part, as free wifi is increasingly the norm in good class hotels.

Location: Close to Madison Ave. and 5th. Ave. Rockefeller Center and FAO Schwartz are walking distance.
Good hotel overall. Friendly staff. Helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

Location: fifth ave right at your doorstep
lovely staff who go out of their way made my overnight especially pleasant. right off of fifth ave and five minute cab ride to theater district.

Check-in/check-out couldn't have been easier. Room and bed were very comfortable. Bathroom was lovely and dpacious.

Pros: Location, cleanliness, well-arranged room and nice bathroom.
Cons: A male Concierge was neither helpful nor particularly pleasant.
Very happy with this choice of hotel in NYC. Great location. Nicely arranged room and staff was friendly. I've stayed at many hotels in NYC but would not go back to most of them. Without doubt, I would return to the Omni Berkshire. Barry at the front desk and Lenny at the Bell/Valet desk were particularly friendly, and helpful. No so, a male Concierge who suggested a beer joint and a chain restaurant when we asked for a nice restaurant in Rockefeller Center. We told him were looking for something special but he judged us wrong and was most unhelpful. We found our way to Limani -- a lovely spot at 45 Rockefeller Plaza and we had a spectacular meal. It is puzzling to us why he judged us as cheap or lacking sophistication. His assessment of us was way off -- not a good trait for a Concierge.

Historic hotel in great location.

Pros: The holiday decorations in the lobby were beautiful and the location is great.
Cons: Bathroom linens looked old and the mini bar utensils could have been cleaned better.
Location: Easy walking to 5th Avenue stores, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Central Park and Rockefeller Center.
We try to stay in hotels that are registered as historic and we were very pleased with our Omni stay.

Pros: location
Cons: It's a below average hotel. if it was half the price it would be ok
Bed was uncomfortable. There was no storage. Our shower was out for one day. The cleaning staff left us no towels one day.

everything was excellent with suite...the only drawback being just a plain looking accommodations for the amount of money spent, but that is the same for majority of hotels in NYC

Hotel was fine. I thought the breakfast was not worth the price. Rolls were stale. The automatic 18% tip is applied only because the overall experience was poor. Definitely not earned.
