Comfortable place to stay in nice areaPosted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: The location was ideal for our stay. It was close to Central Park and the subway. It was clean, warm and comfortable.
Cons: Coffee and tea facilities in the rooms.
Location: There is Central Park close by. The planetarium and the Natural History Museum are in the next street along too.
We stayed at this hotel for four nights. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable and in a lovely area.

Not as good as we thought it would bePosted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: close to central park
Cons: better WIFI, room service
Location: central park, subway to times square
The room was a bit cold, there was some papers in the windows to stop the draft, the biggest problem was no toilet in the room, we were not aware of this, if we knew we would take the room with the bathroom. The WIFI was not working for some reason, i just wouldnt connect (we stayed at the 5th floor). They serve coffe in the lobby in the morning free of charge, but noone said anything about it so we were buying our coffee elsewhere. weve seen the coffee machine on the last day and when asked, staff said it was free of charge to the hotel guests... also the room service was very loud, they started cleaning at 8.30 in the morning, hoovering and talking very loud in spanish..

Okay but really not what you could expect for thatPosted Mar 30, 2014
price! I was in Vegas for the same 140$ and the hotel was ways better! Not that the hotel stuff was unfriendly and serious at my arrival, also they had concerns me taking 30 min more to check out because the SHARED (!!!) showers had been occupied by a lot of people. Shower water was once ice cold! I would recommend not to choose this hotel.

Perfect - for somePosted Mar 25, 2014
Pros: Quaint. Good rate. Coffee and internet free. Location. Staff. VERY clean.
Cons: Fifth floor wi-fi not happening. Bathrooms need hardware maintenance. Hot water.
Location: Museums. Subway line to midtown accessible. Central Park mid/south.
My recommendation for this place comes with some cautions. While it is one of the most charming places in which I have stayed, it is quirky and will not suit all. I love that it is on museum row. A fabulous location. I appreciated the safety of the area. The staff are very nice! As for accommodations, you will have to enjoy dorm living. Even with your own bathroom, it is simple, guest house, harkening back to the turn of the century bed, basic, towel and neighbors next room over. If you want the luxury of the sights OUTSIDE of the room at a decent price in a great area, this is your place. I would stay again. My husband would not. There it is.

Convient hotel close to transportation and Cen PrkPosted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: Staff and location (See above)
Cons: Beds could be more comfortable and shared toilet not a plus. Steam heat very noisy and was told raising room temperature when I was cold was illegal.
Location: Very near Central Park, Natural History Museum, subway and many fine deli's and restaurants. Found Tea and Coffee Shop on corner great.
This is a great place to use as a base if you are going to be gone a lot. Unless you have a Junior Suite, you must share a toilet room down the hall. Beds are not the most comfortable but you get used to it after awhile. Staff very helpful and friendly and Housekeeping Staff extremely good and cooperative (ie--extra pillow or blankets). For a quick trip, good selection.

tiny room without water we could drinkPosted Mar 17, 2014
It is the smallest room I have ever lived in. It is even hard to get in the restroom.
