“Poor Service and Attention to detals”

look for another hotel.

“needs work”

no telephones working in room; fire alarms went off at least twice during stay for no legitimate reason; room walls were filthy towards the ceiling; window curtains were old, ripped, and partially detached; need i go on? on the other hand, the location is ideal for those who want to get to theaters within 5 minutes on foot and only 2 minutes from Central Park. also within 1 to 2 minutes walking distance to fifth ave. and madison ave. shops. The hotel staff are great and have great attitudes and are friendly; it is the building/room itself that need a complete interiors renovation and work on the annoying technical problems!!!

“Great Location and Hotel for Romantic Birthday Surprise for Wife”

I was pleasantly surprised with the Park Central. I selected it for location and given the mixed reviews in virtually all NYC hotels, I figured this to be a crap shoot. Although the room was a handicapped room, with a weird shower set up, it was large, clean, quiet and comfortable. Yes, quiet... Did not use any services but check in/out was easy. Have to time it so not to get behind the tour groups. Great location for Bwy, Midtown, Central Park South/West and subways.

Dining
Gina's on Amsterdam on Upper West Side...Fantastic meatballs and pasta. Via Quadronno at 73rd x Madison...unbelievable italian sandwiches and lasagne. Sevilla best Paella on the planet...oldest waiters on the planet too.

“Never Again”

Old, tired hotel in a fantastic location. Rooms tight and in desparate need of upgrade. "Service" is non-existent, and they try to make up for the lower rates by nickel-and-diming you to death (like $4/per bag to check bags for 2 hours after checkout). They won't see me here again.

“I would go back in a heart beat”

I took my 20 year old twins for a fun vacation. When I read online that the the beds were only double, I had concerns because all three of us are over 6' tall. When we got there they were indeed only double beds and the room was quite small with a view of a brick wall. We didn't mind the brick wall, but the sleeping arrangements were just too tight, so we calledl the bell hop to bring up a cot. When he got there he told us the cot would not fit and he was appalled that we were put in such a small room. He called the front desk and found a room that was MUCH larger on the corner of 7th Avenue. Great views and the cot fit comfortably. Thank you to the hotel for being so accomodating. We will go back.

“not so hot please”

I stayed at this hotel before and it has gone downhill. The employees are grouchy - from the bell man who took my laundry to the front desk clerk . Worst part is the HEAT - - - impossible to control so woke up HOT every night.

“OK hotel in a great location”

Hotel is in a great location. Receptionist was very helpful but the rest of the staff we dealt with were rude and not very helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy, although dated. It was a good mid-range hotel but not sure I would choose to stay there again.

“Holiday Inn of Midtown”

Good comfortable room in midtown for an average rate. Nice lobby. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Worth what we paid
