Great Location.

Posted Mar 4, 2015
Pros: Probably the best thing about the hotel was its location. Everything touristy was within walking distance or a simple hop on the subway.
Great price through Expedia but then there was an added fee for use of internet and work out facilities. The fee added 150.00 dollars to our bill for 2 rooms/ three days. It may not seem like a lot to some people but it was an added expense we could have done without.

Disappointing experience

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Service, hotel offering, amenities
If you are familiar with other NYC hotels, you will be disappointed, as this is not your average 4 start hotel and this is why: 1) Since the property is in Times Square and used to tourists, you are treated as a tourist, and not somebody who will come back-- so don't expect a very good customer service 2) The property lack a restaurant facility and lounge is opened only in the evening; you need to go out of the hotel to get food. 3) No sleepers or a robe offering in the hotel; make sure you bring your own . 4) Standard rooms are very tiny ; queen beds are very uncomfortable. 5) Only one set of elevators is working, so if they put you in rooms located further away from the elevator; prepare to walk a long way. 6) Concierge leaves early; the front desk staff is absolutely clueless when it comes to restaurants suggestions or other needs. Overall - OK to stay if you are not used or do not expect to have a good service. If you a repeat traveler to NYC, there are a plethora of other amazing 3.5/ 4* hotels to choose from. And don't get fooled by their "recent renovation" offering.

Nice hotel. Conveniently located

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Conveniently located to all shoppes and restaurants. Lots to chose from so make sure you look around. Down fall is parking. The young lady at the counter suggested parking on the street and paying the meter which for us worked out, that is if you don't mind leaving your car outside in the open. We got the premier room which was actually small. Toilet was sliding from side to side. Clean room. The service was great!! We got a premier room as we read on the ratings that lower rooms are noisier so premier rooms are for the higher floors but it was still noisy. Walls are thin and you can here everything.

In the heart of the city

Hotel was very clean, updated, modern decor rooms. Room was small but very cozy. Only drawback was there was no coffeepot in the room and no room service. Otherwise, great staff and location was perfect.

Excellent Hotel

Posted Mar 2, 2015
The Park Central is a lovely hotel in a great location that had been recently remodeled. We requested a room on a higher floor and were upgraded (for an additional $25.00 per night) to a room on the 18th floor overlooking Carnegie Hall. The room was spacious, clean and the linens and bed were of high quality. There were a few problems : no restaurant on-site as advertised, however, there are several terrific restaurants across the street or just within a few blocks. It is also a bit noisy - even on the 18th floor! The staff is helpful and the bar is especially nice to spend time chatting with fellow travellers.

My mom's 80th birthday celebration!

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Elevators
Location: Location was great... close to the subway and only blocks away from a lot of the attractions that we wanted to see
The hotel was nice... the aroma in the lobby was "interesting" but not bad... There were only two complaints 1) not all elevators were working so there was always a wait and we were on the 8th floor so the stairs weren't doable and 2) no coffee pot in room.

Great price on Expedia

Location: Love the location. Close to Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Carnagie Hall, etc.
Loved having a place to pick up a quick breakfast in the Lobby. Very easy to catch a cab in front of the hotel. Asked ahead for a coffee maker and fridge. Great bargain for the money!
