Pros: close to grand central and friendly help
Cons: quiet space for one to have a beer., the bed turned where the head would have a wall to rest against when watching TV or reading, comfortable bed
Location: close to grand central and good coffee , food. 2nd time to stay there.
enjoyed my 2 night stay and all the staff were very helpful and nice. Wanted to have a drink in the bar one night, but too loud and no where to sit.

Small rooms but with all the necessary detailsPosted Mar 15, 2014
Pros: Free wifi, in-room safe, clean rooms, reliable hotel.
Cons: Bathroom design.
Location: Great location close to Grand Central; easy discounted parking nearby ($25 for 24 hours).
Great location, reliable and easy access with discounted parking nearby, free wifi, in-room safe that fits computers, and all the important tech details. Bunk rooms are tiny though, and whoever designed the bathrooms doesn't use bathrooms much--not enough privacy, an above-sink shelf too narrow for toiletry bags, no towel bars or racks, etc. Comfy beds for sleeping, but the room is really really tiny.

This was an unexpected pleasure. While this is not a luxury hotel it was clean, comfortable and yes a little"hip".

ShuttlePosted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Basic, but has everything you need.
Cons: Staff were generally unhelpful
I was let down by the shuttle service to JFK, which I booked through the hotel 12 hours in advance of the journey. Apparently this shuttle service lets the hotel down 90% of the time. Bearing in mind the cost is the same using a yellow taxi, plus you get a private ride (the shuttle is shared), I would suggest you don't use the shuttle service the hotel offers you. On a positive note, the staff did help me hail a cab.

Compact in sizePosted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: Comfortable, clean, grandson liked the ping pong table.
Stayed Feb 20th prior to boarding cruise ship. Came a day early in case of bad weather. Room small but well laid out and how much are you in your room anyways! I have a bad leg at the moment but was still able to walk up to the Grand Central Terminal food court for dinner. This was recommended by the young man at the reservations booth and was a good choice. I was with my 9 year old grandson and he really enjoyed watching all the people while we ate at Juniors Restaurant. A nice taste of New York when you only have a limited amount of time! I would stay here again.

I wan’t sure about the Pod but it was a great deal so I took the plunge. I’d definitely stay there again. It was comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly.

Cheap and CleanPosted Feb 27, 2014
Pros: The room was clean and very close to Grand Central Station and we walked to the Empire State building and Times Square
Cons: The bathroom door is a cloudy glass so if you stay with someone, there is not much privacy.
Location: Everything in Manhattan, subway, Empire State Building, Times Square are walking distance.Short $12 cab ride to Central Park and the Met,
We stayed 4 nights total before and after a cruise. It is smaller then a cruise ship room but just as advertised. It was very clean and there was room under the bed for our luggage. It had a very nice roof top area.

Nice hotel in the centre of New YorkPosted Feb 26, 2014
Cons: Coffee makers in the room would be nice, but that's a quibble, really.
Excellent value for money -- the rooms are small (but you'll be out sightseeing or working anyway, so that's no big deal!) but clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the location can't be beat. Perfect for New York!

Nice Hotel, good locationPosted Feb 26, 2014
Cons: the position of the conditioned air (or in my case "heating") because it is so noisy and the air "blow" directly over the head and the pillow.
Location: Closeto subway station and Timesquare
I was in winter, so beyond the good location and clean, very quiet and calm place. To improve: the position of the conditioned air (or in my case "heating") because it is so noisy and the air "blow" directly over the head and the pillow.
