Second time to stay

Posted Feb 28, 2015
It was excellent. Very helpful staff. Close to everything...grand central station, shake shack, fed ex, Dianne Reed, CVS, lots of Starbucks, park avenue, 5th ave., Lexington and 3rd Ave and so on. Take a walk for better health than riding a train. Good luck:))

Hip hotel; awesome value for NYC

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Cons: The bar/restaurant caters heavily to those not staying at the hotel. I felt like we weren't welcome there.
Location: Bagel Express around the corner is great for a fast breakfast. Grand Central Station is just a few blocks away.
We've stayed at Pod 39 several times and will again. The location is central and convenient. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but are cute and extremely clean.

AWESOME

Great, but small. Since it's in NYC I guess that's average.

Good hotel with a young vibe

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: Modern. Clean. Functional. Reasonable price & location. Bunk rooms for teenage children.
Cons: Size of towels!
Location: Pershing Square cafe excellent and food court at Grand central station. Convenience store at end of block good for fruit!
Coldest weather for 20 years in NYC so good heating system welcomed! Towels a bit small only downside...staff friendly. Store your luggage last day. Breakfast available for small charge.

Nice hotel, 20 minutes walk from times square, next to grand central. Is small, but it has all you need to stay for a good price in Manhattan.

Always good value

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: The rooms are tiny but are clean and comfortable and have everything: desk, safe, decent lighting, heating/cooling wireless and windows that open.
Cons: I'd be happy to reuse my towels and not to have the shampoo/soap replaced daily. It's wasteful to throw this stuff out when I'm there for the week.
Location: 5 mins to Grand Central, lots of little restaurants on Third. Morning coffee at Lucid @ 38th and Lexington and drop your laundry off en route.
Pod 39 once again gave me an excellent rate for such a centrally located hotel in the relatively quiet mid-town Murray Hill neighbourhood.

Small hotel great location

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: The location is great and the hotel is very quiet.
Cons: The heating system is noisy.
Location: Grand Central - 2 blocks Nice coffee shop 2 beans at 100 Park Ave
The Pod is an excellent choice for a great location (2 blocks from Grand Central) at a very affordable price for NY. The rooms are small, but very clean and have everything you need.
