Great location, great atmosphere.

Good location close to lexington avenue subway line. Close to top of the rock, grand central and un headquarters. Small rooms as you would expect but everything you need is there and was kept very clean everyday. Rooftop terrace is nice, a great suntrap. Pop at the pod bar downstairs has good food and beer and friendly staff.

somewhat difficult to find & room was really hot

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: lobby has a nice design
Cons: air conditioning, more space for comfort, way too cramped
This was probably one of the cheaper places offered in new york and it was okay. The room was pretty cramped and the air ventilation was not the best. There are four bathrooms on each floor (at least there was on mine) and it was nice that they had lights on the top of your door on the inside of the room that lit up if the bathrooms were occupied.

Where's the lobby?

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Very clean!!! Great price of midtown!
Cons: Fix the wi-Fy!!!
Location: It's in east midtown what more could you possibly want?!
Tiny rooms but hey, you're just sleeping there! The lobby is buried amongst the hotel bar, also the free Internet wi-Fi, just didn't work, front desk person said it never works.... The rooms are extremely clean with very cool bathroom, although very tiny if you're 6 foot or taller don't expect to bend over in the shower! Lol it's very tight! Good location, and rather quiet!

Good location to the subways and grand central.

We enjoyed staying here, the rooms were pretty small but if you are out all day and just need a bed to sleep like we did it's perfect!

Overnight at Pod 51 NYC

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Ease of access, interior design - everything you need in smaller space, exceptionally clean
Cons: bathrooms were great but could use bathrug when floor gets wet.
Location: TreeHaus Restaurant wonderful, Easy access to 51st Subway, St Patricks Cathedral for reflection
Wonderful time, helpful staff, extremely clean shared bathrooms with piped in music (nice touch). Room was cool refuge from the July Manhattan heat and Pod 51 is 1-2 blocks away from subway.

Budget hotel, overall is ok

Posted Jul 19, 2014
The room was clean and the bed was comfort enough. But our room was at 2nd floor, so You have to listen to the music from the bar until 2 a.m. and then the big noise from the street (like truck) keeps you awake. Yay!!

Accessible and worth the money

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Accessible to everything. Cleanliness of the hotel and the staff. Hotel is pretty basic and have everything you would need for your stay.
Cons: Wish they have more hotels like this in different part of the city or other state.
It's close to subway, 3 in fact within walking distance. One straight to airport which a plus for us coz we arrived very late at night. You could leisurely walk from hotel to all major sites such as St. patrick's, central park, UN, times square, etc. We had a 1 year old with us, we asked if we could just leave a loaner stroller in the hotel before we checked out to be picked up by the airline and they willingly accommodated our request. You could leave your luggage in the lobby if your flight is late in the day. Staff were so helpful and efficient. We forgot to keep one valuable before we went out , when we came back it was still there. The room was cleaned everyday, shared bathrooms were clean and you couldn't see any wet floors (not including the shower area though) which I'm very particular of. I have an OCD but surprisingly I didn't feel icky using the bathroom. The rooftop is so nice, you could just hang out there and relax. There's 24hours mac donald's near the corner for your midnight cravings and lots of restaurants beside, across, within walking distance during the day. We feel safe walking late at night. I would definitely stay there next time am in NY!
