not exactly as expected

Posted Jun 1, 2015
I will say, the location of this hotel was convenient. I was in town for BookCon and it was a 10 minute uber ride to the Javits Center. However, it didn't look much like the pictures at all. The room was very tiny and definitely had more of a hostel feel. the room was also not colorful whatsoever. I didn't spend a ton of time in the room, so it really was okay. It just wasn't as nice as I was expecting. It is a good option if you're trying to do New York cheaply and largely don't care where you're staying.

Very small rooms, much more so than expected.

Pros: Location
Good for the guest who wants nothing more than a clean place to sleep. Prices at hotel café very reasonable, breakfast can be had for $5.00. Within walking distance of subway, Times Square, Empire State Building, and many other attractions.

Always a pleasure

I am a regular at the pod and stay here whenever I am in town. It's not fancy or pretentious... Has everything I need ... TV free wifi, a cafe ... And for me a most convenient location.

Great Value

Room was small, traditionally speaking, but had everything we needed. Shared bathroom was not a problem, always had one available and they were very nicely appointed.

disappointed

Pros: location
The room was so small that I couldn't even open my luggage there. Very disappointed especially they claim the hotel was full and couldn't accommodate me in any other room.

staying at POD 51

Pros: that we were on the 12th floor and it had a very small balcony.
Cons: better customer services and expand their rooms offer breakfast or a snack area
Location: they had a festival around there---- and a nice Dinner-- THE COMFORT DINER- I will recommend this-- very inexpensive and the service and food its grea
the front desk lady was upset because I made a reception with Expedian- she wasn't going to provide us with the same room and she upgrade our stay with additional $22.00 for the room that we wanted-- and two beds. it is too expensive and they do not mention anything about the parking- we had to ask-- also for a very expensive one night stay--- it is a shame that they do not offer a breakfast-- well we are assuming because again- the front desk people doesn't mention anything about their service or what they office--- our room was not ready--- we got there at 1pm and we had to wait till 3pm-- plus the lady again wasn't sure if the room was ready-- she had to go and check.--- OVERALL--- the room was very small, no breakfast- lock of communication or service on what they offer--- or what its around in their area for vacationist--- very poor customer services. will not use the same hotel again.
