In from mexicali to visit my sister and i was looking for a place to flop for the night close to where we were hanging out. It fit our needs perfectly. No bells or whistles just a place to stay nnearby

Small room, but comfortable and great location.Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Location, Price
Very close to the subway. Walking distance to Central Park (about 10 blocks). The restaurant/bar adjoining the hotel was pleasant and had good food. The shared bathroom was just down the hall, but was always clean which was good.

Great value for moneyPosted Apr 15, 2014
A clean hotel in a great location. Stayed one night and it had everything we needed. A little bit of a tight squeeze but we didn't spend much time in the room. Definitely recommend for a short stay.

Nice and simplePosted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Location, decor
Cons: Both mornings we were woken up (around 9am) by housemaids trying to get into our room. Not ideal. Also, as mentioned, we could hear the bar music.
Pod 51 is in a great location, walking distance to most of what you want to see in Manhattan (a long walk to some of it, but do-able). The room we stayed in was small, as expected, but nice and clean and totally appropriate for the two nights we were there. Our room was on the second floor right above the next-door bar, so unfortunately we could hear muffled music below us until late into the night, but it wasn't too loud. The hotel has a hip and fun feeling, but everyone at the desk also seemed very professional. It was a good mix, and overall a good experience.

Hotel isn't what they make it seemPosted Apr 11, 2014
The room looked online big but when we go into are room it looked like a jail cell or a closet with beds extremely uncomfortable.. and when we went to ask about the bathrooms and attitude from the staff was given. Unfortunately I would not stay here again it was a horrible experience

Perfectly situated to access all NY's attractionsPosted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Value for money.
Cons: 24 hour tea and coffee
Location: Centrally placed - easy access to all parts of NY, including airports, by subway.
Great little hotel, rooms and facilities are basic but very clean and comfortable. This is our second stay and I wouldn't look anywhere else. Helpful staff and use of internet via i pads.

POD 51Posted Apr 9, 2014
Ideal for sleeping and showering as you spend so little time in the hotel. Plenty of really good Diners and restaurants locally. Good transport links. An ideal situation. Stayed in April but in warmer months there is a roof garden and lovely secluded garden across the road with massive water feature. Nothing fancy but clean.

Clean, safe, affordablePosted Apr 9, 2014
Nice hotel, centrally located. Walking distance to Times Square, subways and all other activities. Everything I needed it to be: clean, safe and affordable. Staff is very friendly! This isn't my first stay there and I will book again here. :-)

Good for the price, can be noisyPosted Apr 6, 2014
Had some noisy people in the hall and the doors don't seal all that well. Otherwise a good location and good deal.

Central location everything you needPosted Apr 4, 2014
We stayed here for our honeymoon. The hotel had everything you need but was rather basic. Room was tiny, we did expect this but did not realise quite how small! However it was very close to the main attractions whilst still being a very quiet location.
