Great location

Posted Jul 3, 2015
The rooms are tiny but clean and modern. We got an affordable rate in a great location, walkable distance to major attractions and amazing local restaurants. The Lexington & 53rd subway stop is just around the corner, offering instant access to anywhere you want to be. The room itself was small, but perfect for my needs. All I need from a hotel in NYC is a safe place to rest my head!

jederzeit wieder

Small but great

Posted Jun 30, 2015
So the room was pretty small but just for myself, the single room was perfect. I thought the shared bathroom would be weird but it actually wasn't. The occupancy indicators above the door are a great help and the bathrooms are very clean. However if that's weird for you, you could always pay a little more and get a room with a bathroom. The in room sink takes care of most of your needs. The rooftop deck was a selling point for me. The view is amazing. I ate dinner and breakfast out there just enjoying the view. It's very close to a lot of sights to see as well. I'd recommend this hotel and plan on staying here again if I'm ever back in New York.

It was great, I honestly don't know if there's much more I can say.... But yes it was a lovely hotel and would definitely stay again if I ever find myself back in the city. Only down side was the generator being noisy outside the window but otherwise it was a great experience. Will probably be mentioning to friends that are heading that way soon.

Stylish Hotel on Quiet Street

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Cons: The restaurant could be improved, as well as some art work in the rooms.
Location: There are plenty of restaurants around this hotel and its within walking distance to the MoMA
It was cleverly designed; the layout, colors, mural, lighting, etc. My TV was broken however, even though I didn't really need it. The in-hotel "restaurant" wasn't the greatest. The bathrooms were always clean and the garbage was hardly ever full. Hotel staff was always courteous. The street was fairly quiet which made us feel very at home.

Great location for price.

Pros: Clean rooms. The free tours offered by the hotel, through Streetwise NY, is a great and inexpensive way to see the city.
Cons: Doors bang.
Location: Great location. Close to major midtown sights. Nearby subway station makes traveling to other neighborhoods of Manhattan easy.
The rooms and hotel are admittedly small, but they are clean and perfect for students, one day stays, and families with kids. The rooftop is beautiful at night, especially with the summer wind blowing. It is in a prime location in midtown, close to sights like Rockefeller center, Time Square, etc. Subways are nearby making exploring the rest of Manhattan easy. A concierge is available should you need help with directions. The tours offered by the hotel, through Streetwise NY, is a great and cheap way to see portions of NY.

No bathroom

Posted Jun 27, 2015
I didn't mind how small the room was because I was only staying for one night. If your are staying for longer I wouldn't recommend because I can't imagine where you would keep your belongings. The only thing that really bothered me was that the pictures showed in room facilities yet there were none in my room. We had to use a communal bathroom and washroom. Very misleading. Other than that it wasn't that bad and the rooftop and garden area were very cute.
