Great location, only small issue was the sound of the a/c unit which was noisy and turned on and off during the night.

Pros: Nice size rooms easy to get around Midtown and down town from this location
Cons: Nothing that I can think of
Location: Great location. Walking down towards Penn Station on 32nd street you will find great delis that serve wonderful breakfasts and even better lunch.
Great hotel nice big rooms for Manhattan. Great location wonderful staff. Would go back when we stay in Manhattan. I love hotels that are not cookie cutters but have their own ambiance and this hotel does....

hotel di grande tradizione e classe; edificio per forza di cose un po' datato ma dotato di tutti i servizi; personale impeccabile. Posizione TOP, qualunque parte di manhattan è raggiungibile a piedi

So good and close to everything you need

Posted Dec 25, 2014
Pros: It looks amazing and you have great door staff to greet you and make you feel welcome. The room was renovated to a high standard and was really clean
Cons: Customer service 'director' could have been more polite and more helpful
Location: Close to everything you need e.g. Macys, Empire State, Fifth Ave, Times Square and a short walk away from Central Park and the Rockerfeller.
We stayed here from the 15th - 20th December 2014 and travelled as two couples, we arrived at 6pm and check in was quick and smooth. We were a little shocked at a £100 deposit for each of our rooms which we weren't notified about until we got there.. lucky we had spare cash on hand. The hotel itself is beautiful, nice classic look to it and lovely door staff and reception to greet you on your way in. Our room was massive, a little small of a bathroom but didn't bother us at all! Room was a little gloomy without daylight, but was really relaxing and absolutely spotless! Rooms were cleaned daily and towels replaced daily too, so even evening on your return you would have a beautifully clean room to relax in. I was a little ill on the last night so we ordered room service, which the portions were huge! and the food was great quality. The hotel is in a great location, it is literally around the corner from Macys and just a few blocks away from Times Square. It is in walking distance of nearly everything, we didn't get a subway once. Only time we needed a taxi was to Ground Zero as it was quite a trek away from the hotel. There is also a subway at the corner of the hotel if needed. Only downside was the rude customer service received at the customer service desk, we waited over 30 minutes for her to come and serve us which she was still rude whilst serving us. Couldn't complain about anything else.

Great Stay

Posted Dec 22, 2014
Pros: All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Conveniently located, great coffee from Greely Square
Location: The Empire State Building, Times Square, the subway, major shopping mall across the road.
This was a great hotel and reasonably priced for New York. It was centrally located for all we wanted to do. We walked from Penn Station to the hotel when we arrived- not knowing there was a subway right near the front door. Enjoyed our stay there immensely. The room was a bit small but it didn't matter as we werre only sleeping there. The staff were only too happy to help with any queries we had and offer suggestions for things to do or places to go. We have recommended it to collesagues who are about to travel. It certainly enhanced our stay in New York.
