“Temporary refuge”
We stayed here because we were displaced from the Hurricane. For us, the commute was a little long, but it was all we could find. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They understood without saying that people were under stress and did their best to accomodate you. The morning breakfast - bagels, donuts, cereal, orange and apple juice, coffee, hot chocolate, tea (eggs & sausage too, but I did not have them) - were always fresh and plentiful. The breakfast should have started at six, but they always had it out by 5:30 or earlier and did not stop anyone from partaking. The parking is hard, but you can park on the street as long as you move by 7:30 or 8:00 for street cleaning. By that time, some spots open up at the hotel and you can move your car. It's convenient to buses, trains, shopping, various restaurants. The room we felt was quite large. It was cleaned every day - sheets and towels changed - if you needed. Your experience may be different, but for our needs the staff was accomodating.

Very nice experience!
“Great hotel”
Great hotel in queens. Close to subway and buses
“VALUE VALUE VALUE!”
What a great rate! This place has VALUE. A very great rate for NYC. Sure, you're a subway ride away from midtown, but it's only 20 minutes. I'll trade that for cheap rate. If you know the city, don't have too much luggage, and can handle the subway, this is the place to be. $7 bucks for the AirTrain/Subway from JFK is a big plus as long as you have the strength to get your bags up the subway steps...not for grandma and grandpa. I say this hotel is "conveniently located", but you may have another opinion. Make no mistake, this is a RAMADA. It's just not like the one you may find outside of East Overshoe on I-69. Three stars easy.
“Great bargain in Queens”
This is a great little hotel - looks pretty average from the outside but my room was excellent; quite possibly the biggest hotel room I've ever had in NYC. Everything in the room was like new, the ac worked well, nice big tv, comfy king-size bed. The breakfast is simple - cereal, juice, bagels, donuts, fruit - nothing to write home about but definitely convenient and tasty. The hotel is 2 blocks from the F train, so it's a very easy 35min ride into Manhattan/Times Square. And the nightly price was one-thirdf what downtown hotels were asking for much less comfort. If you don't absolutely need to be downtown, this is a very good option. The neighborhood is okay - I never felt as risk walking from the subway at night and it's on one of the main drags of Jamaica so there was a lot of traffic. Also, it's pretty well situated between both JFK and LGA, so the trip into the airport is fast for morning flights.
“Came through in a pinch!”
My guest and I were actually staying at the JFK Plaza Hotel, which notified us (just a day into our stay) that the hotel had been sold, was under renovation and that we had to vacate the premises by 12 noon the next day (April 1st). Spoke to Expedia customer service, who transferred my remaining days to the Ramada. Their staff honored our previous booking (from JFK Plaza) and allowed us to check earlier than their posted check-in time. Transportation is close by, and the staff is extremely accommodating.
“Amazing gem!”
This hotel, tucked away in Queens, is a beautiful gem! Immaculate, high quality bed, linens and bathroom. Outstanding customer service at the front desk. Great hospitality. Highly recommend.
“A great bargain!”
We stayed 4 nights in a King-size bedroom that was small, but very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was good. Convenient location to the F train into Manhattan. The Q3 Metro bus brought us from JFK to within a block of the hotel, and when leaving, the Q3 was picking up right out front of the hotel. The neighborhood was interesting with lots of diversity. We enjoyed walking there in the evenings and frequenting the different stores. Fresh produce and eateries all along there. There's an IHOP just a couple blocks up the road. People were friendly for the most part, spoke different languages, and we were definitely the minority in that neighborhood. We really enjoyed our evening walks and never felt unsafe. We didn't need to park a vehicle, but could see that would have been a huge problem if we did. The street noise early morning was a little concerning, but nothing to keep us from coming back. The staff could have been friendlier, but again, not a deal breaker. It was comfortable and clean after a long day of sightseeing, and those are the most important factors to us. A great bargain!
“very decent place”
Our overall experience was great. We basically needed a nice and clean room just to sleep in since we were always away in the city. The room was small but comfortable. Its kind of far from the city but you can still get the F train nearby and that can take you almost anywhere especially if you have the 7 day unlimited Metrocard. Want a good place to eat: PUNTO ROJO is the best and is only about 4 blocks away.
“I love this hotel!”
The hotel was so clean and quiet. It is locates on a big street, so I thought it was not dangerous to have a good time in Manhatten until late night. haha~
