I have been back many times

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable and centrally located
Cons: Can't think of anything right now. Or maybe lower price :)
Location: Centrally located and new restaurants and heart of the city.
Ramada Staten is like an extension of my home now. I love staying there every time am in the area.

The Hotel rooms were nice but getting to the room we had to walk with our suitcases down stairs and for other people, might be hard to do.They need to update the hallways to fit with rooms. And I was troubled by the condoms being sold in the vending machines that my kids were looking at.

Very Convenient Location

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Location was key for me.
Cons: while there was a closet, it contained an ironing board and iron, extra blanket but no hangers to hang any clothes. No hand held shower.
Location: Convenient to SI Expressway and Richmond Ave. which has anything and everything you could look for. However, it is a distance from Hylan Blvd.
Pleasant staff, nice clean room. Location is very close to shopping in a very good neighborhood.

Stayed 7 Days in Staten Island, NY

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: I liked where it was and that it was clean and friendly and that anything you needed you just had to ask for it.
Cons: More towels in the room for the number of people you have. Only got 3 bath towels each day, we were 4 people but we asked for another one and got it.
Location: Location was good. Walk to some stores. Didn't look for things to do nearby except for stores. Had our agenda and stuck to it.
We were 2 adults and 2 children age 8 and 12 and we stayed 7 days. Housekeeping was great. Just ask for anything you need and you get it right away. The room was very clean. They weren't very large but you could walk around in the one I was in. The front desk personnel was friendly and very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was great. All you need to start your day. Walk to the small Deli around the corner and get anything you want. Other stores were in walking distance also. The menus they had for food delivery were also great. I had the chinese food. It was delicious. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It was a great stay and the price was perfect.

You Get What You Pay For

Posted Jul 6, 2014
This hotel was at a real good price for NYC, especially on short notice. And it was in a decent area of Staten Island. The hotel itself is clean, but the amenities are somewhat bare. The frig in the room is just barely cold enough to be acceptable, the AC unit works just enough to cool things down, the shower pressure is just barely strong enough to take a shower, everything just right there on the border of acceptable. The free breakfast was very good though, and the housekeeping staff was very friendly, although they did ignore my do not disturb sign one day and cleaned my room when I was not there and the sign was on the door. The front desk staff was mostly friendly, but at times borderline rude, placing me on hold and forgetting about me, and seemed to get annoyed at some simple requests like for towels or to turn on the TV in the cafeteria, and were unapologetic when the cable went out. One guy actually sighed very loudly at one of my requests, followed by a long pause belated and weary-sounding "OK". And it's not like I was bugging them about stupid stuff, just normal requests. Also, they forgot to send me towels I had requested, they just never came, but another time they did send them. Overall, however, the experience was not bad, and I would stay there again because I don't take things personal, and the price is right and the location good, right next to the freeway.

Older hotel with refurbished accommodations

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Cons: Work-out room was an after thought -tiny, cramped, with dated equipment
Location: The I-278 Expressway is anything but...lots of construction in progress. Access to the hotel was circuitous but reasonable.
The King Rooms are "cozy" (not a lot of wiggle room). But, if you plan to be out all day and use it only as a base camp to shower and sleep it fills the bill. The Continental Breakfast was ample with make-your-own waffles, fruit, sausage, assorted cereals, toast, and the usual milk, juice, coffee, and tea. Rooms were very clean and well kept. The noise level of the air conditioner was better than expected.

Not so great.

It was the middle of nowhere. The room was in the basement of the hotel. It smelled and felt like a basement. It was clean, but for 170 a night I didn't want to feel like I was in a smelly basement.

Graduation Stay

Posted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: The room rate was affordable.
Cons: The parking was a challenge. There is additional parking, but you need to get there early or you will have to park behind the hotel.
I was there for four days, which was very pleasant. Everyone was very helpful.

Very disappointed.

Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Hospitality
Our toilet seat broke the first night and they moved us to another room, no problem. That night we had someone knocking on the neighbors door at 3 in the morning, the same morning we accidently got a wake up call at 5 am. The following night the neighbor had people coming and going at 2 in the morning, not sure what was going on. Called the front desk and they said there was nothing they could do. Breakfast was fine, rooms were fine. The ferry to NYC was only a few minutes away and parking was only $8.00 and you went by the statue of liberty on the trip.
