Ravel is so wonderful. Front lobby personnel was so professional and courteous. The hotel is so modern and the decor is superb. My room was beautiful with modern minimalistic, but yet color rich decor and had a big well furnitured balcony overlooking the 59 St. Bridge and the Long Island City skyline. It felt so private and quiet that I felt like I was the only guest in the building. Also, you can be in Manhattan walking over the bridge in literally minutes. They offer parking ballet at the premises for $25 per night. I’d definitely stay at Ravel again and highly recommend it to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hotel room could have been cleaned better. The shower and tub was dirty. The table tops were sticky, the balcony looked like it’s never been cleaned before. A lot of dirt, ash and bird poop everywhere. Outdoor furniture was dirty. Hotel room tv is not a smart tv and has limited channel options. Walls were dirty and the paint was chipped. Parking lot is always packed so you may end up parking on the street.

I appreciated that the room was bigger than your average hotels in NYC. The view would have been better if there wasn’t construction taking place on the roads. No fault of the hotel’s. Parking was available but not much. Room was clean. Bathroom was clean and shower was spacious.

The manager at the Ravel became abusive and hostile when i complained about the inannounced wedding that occurred during my stay where the noise was not only audible but palpable as the walls and the floors shook. I asked for a free night as a concession and was told yes. When i went to collect on the offer the manager yelled, screamed, called me a liar and was so unnecessarily hostile and should not be managing people or anything related to hospitality. I was hung up on and called a liar when Jaydev Gupta is a dishonest and disingeuine ill equipped manager who is abusive to his paying customers and a terrible representative if both Wyndam and the Ravel. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone for fear this man could become unhinged at having to actually deal with anyone who r a spectfully sharws a grievance as is the right as a paying customer. I was absolutely treated terrible and verbally abused at this location.

The Ravel is a very nice hotel. The staff there are great. The view from the rooms looking over the east river is gorgeous. I would absolutely book another stay there.

On the date of my reservation, I inquired about the possibility of adding a special request of placing something in the room to celebrate a birthday. I was told “we do not permit any kind of room decoration on the property”, when I responded stating that I did not necessarily want decorations I was asking for something simple like a welcome card wishing my other guest a happy birthday with some sort of complimentary fruit or dessert of some sort and was met with a response of “ We do not have these available. There are vending areas with a small selection where items can be purchased when you arrive, and food delivery is an option through the apps (doordash, ubereats, postmates etc...)” I was just making a simple request which most hotels could accommodate so I found this odd. I liked the overall set up of the room itself it was nice and had a great balcony view. The parking lot is very small and is first come first serve, which is about 12 spots really..and there was no valet available throughout my stay it said “The valet is currently closed” but I never saw it open throughout my stay so not sure if they have staff for that. Lastly, there was a roach crawling on the wall near the TV..thankfully we were checking out the next day so we just killed it and went to bed. Not a bad place to stay for a night if you are doing something around the area but there isn’t any amenities within the hotel which would would make a long stay pretty boring.

Its a bice place to stay, no microwaves in the room but the balcony more than makes up for it. Stylish and the bathroom is where they spent the most time and real estate. A few updating toyches would make this 5 star.

I have zero complaints about my experience with Ravel, i enjoyed the balcony area, it eas a nice touch even with a lil cool breeze, I would say if they had a small heater or fireplace on the balcony, i would probably stay every other weekend!

The best things were (1) all of the staff members I met - Awesome. (2) The beds were really clean and comfortable. The greatest negative - the hotel website said there was breakfast served, and there was a dining restaurant for dinners. I traveled 3 1/2 hours to NYC for major surgery, and seriously needed the convenience of hotel meals. Upon arrival we were informed all food service was discontinued. Why is your website not updated ???? The bathroom design is frustrating - to say the least, and I thought 3 of the 4 tiny ceiling light bulbs were burned out. On the morning of my third day there, I finally found the light switch to the 2 meager lights over the sink and mirror - over at the entrance door to the room. The light over the toilet is hanging loose from the ceiling, and is burned out, and the toilet stall is so small I had to leave the door open to avoid banging my head on it. The hard floors in the rooms surely contribute to easier cleaning, but are very cold to walk barefoot on. There was a "great" deal of noise through our 2 nights there that was coming from other rooms on our floor, as well as above us. While packing to leave on day 3, I found the tiny frig hiding in a cabinet - a frig that could have served me well if I'd known it was there. Would I stay there again, or recommend this hotel to others ??? Sadly, No !

Just stayed two nights at the Ravel, Long Island City. Although the beds were comfortable, the heating system was so loud, it sounded like a freight train running through the room. Even when it reached the desired temperature, it whined incessantly. It kept us awake, even with ear plugs. We tried to change rooms but were told that they all made the same noise! The floor beside the sink in the bathroom was filthy, obviously the cleaning team hadn't looked there for months. The hot water in the shower never reached hot, just below what was a comfortable temperature. We will not stay there again.
