“Ed Berdugo”
I am a frequent traveler to New York City and have stayed in the past in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen vicinity hotels for their proximity to Grand Central Terminal, 42nd Street and Broadway’s theaters. Then, this past week, I discovered Brooklyn and the Red Caret Motel. Please be mindful of the word “motel.”
The Red Carpet Motel, as for example Motel 6, offers the travelers with the basic conveniences of location (to catch the subway), restaurants (to dine in or have it deliver), and the neighborhoods' gas station with its Mini Mart just next door. By the way, it does not take long for one to get familiar with the subway system running 24/7.
The staff was great, attentive and helpful. They were great helping me with the free Wi Fi connection by providing me with a cable a needed for a better a stable connection. The morning’s free breakfast was tempting with assorted doughnuts, bagels with cream cheese, and an amazing coffee machine that prepares your coffee to your individual taste.
The room was spacious with a comfortable queen size bed, a night stand, a desk with a chair, and the armoire with the big TV. The bathroom is equipped with the most modern water saving features like the spigot with its magic golden round controller that you must pull down to route the water to the shower head. I won’t tell you about the powerful flush down force of the toilet. TIP: Bring your own shampoo.
