Clean and comfortable

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: location and cleanliness
Location: location was Times Square. Very convenient to theatres.
There for a show. Very close to the theatre, which was great. Beds were very comfortable. Beds, room, and bathroom were very clean - most important thing to me. Good shower, good hot water. Terrible view, but we didn't care about that. Pretty noisy, but can't complain about that when staying at Times Square, or can you? I asked for a cup of coffee in the morning, and was directed to the "buffet", and I asked if there was a charge for the cup of coffee and was told "no, not for ONE!" Ok, just one. Thanks.

When is a club floor NOT a club floor

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Given that this was a business trip, I booked a club floor room for the added amenities, breakfast, etc. that one normally (the operative word here) finds throughout 99% of hotels. Clearly hotels upcharge for this, but I find the convenience worth the added cost. However, the Renaissance Time's Square claims they have club floor rooms and charges for such, BUT they do NOT have a club floor. Interestingly they do not point that out when booking. Front desk staff was less than helpful. I would recommend you keep with a regular room and save the up charge. Further given their response to my concerns, there are numerous more business friendly hotels in New York.

Location is perfect

Posted Mar 25, 2015
The location of this hotel is excellent. It is in the middle of the action, yet not in the middle of the crowdedness of the Time Square. The rooms doesn't overlook the Time Square. The staff are very nice and helpful.

In middle of everything

2nd floor of the hotel has the best 270 degree 'heated' view of times square which is great for people watching. Hotel is in perfect location to walk to most of the Manhattan's sights.

Location, location, location

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: Great location, friendly staff
Cons: Parking fee is a bit steep with little flexibility to extend your time a few hours.
Location: Too much to mention
You can't get any closer to Times Square without being there. The view from the RLounge is a must see.

Nice hotel in perfect location

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: Location, stylish decoration, good restaurant and bar. Extremely comfortable beds!
Cons: Minibar was empty. Bathroom was slightly less clean than ideal but still fine by most standards.
Location: Times Square, theatre, shopping
I had a fabulous time at the Renaissance. Our room was spacious with a great view of 7th Avenue.

Prime Location

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Everything
Location: As above
I went to NYC for a 5 day trip with my girlfriend. Someone at work had mentioned to me that the Renaissance was situated in a prime location for site seeing. Upon arrival I quickly realised exactly what he was talking about. Its literally smack bang in the middle of times square, with the `R lounge' overlooking times square itself. It also has a subway station directly outside the doors, which is by far the easiest way to navigate NYC. For $30 you can get a subway card that gives you 7 days unlimited use.

good experience

Posted Jan 12, 2015
This is a very nice hotel, very well located. the lobby is nicely furnished with sitting areas. The bar is glass walled overlooking Times Square. It's a great place to wind down your day and re-group for the evening. Rooms are well appointed with conveniences such as a safe, coffee maker and mini-fridge. I can say that, during my recent stay, all of the staff from the check in desk, restaurant, bar and housekeepers, were extremely hospitable.

Excellent position and views

Posted Jan 11, 2015
Pros: Position but room 907 was too low and a little noisy and the earp lugs that were supplied were no use what soever.
Cons: Tired plumbing in the room and loose shOwer head.
Location: Nothing to say. All okay.
Only disappointment was some of the staff at breakfast. On occasions the service was well below that to be expected. Lacking in pleasantries and poor response to requests.
