Dark hotel, at a nice locationPosted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Hotel was at a very good location. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Lights, tables to rooms.
The hotel and rooms are extremely dark. More light needed to rooms and bathrooms. Even the elevator was dark. Was hard to find the buttons for level.

Close to attractionsPosted Jul 24, 2015
Cons: Warn of size of rooms.
Location: Near all you need. Walking distance to shopping. Lots of restaurants and theatres in the area.
Close to Times Square and Central Park. Excellent deli next door where we met nice people and had our coffee and breakfast each day. I think we had the smallest room they had. So small it had no table or chairs. Otherwise nice bathroom and bed was comfortable.

Eclectic hotel close to Times SquarePosted Jul 22, 2015
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was small but funky and fun. It was very clean and had a comfortable bed. The hotel is somewhat under construction right now so one of the elevators was used for that during the day but it wasn't a big deal. The location is amazing. It's practically right on Times Square but back just far enough so that it wasn't too noisy. Not a far walk to Rockefeller Plaza or to the subways. Would highly recommend to friends.

Comfortable and convenientPosted Jul 20, 2015
Booked this hotel for a one night stay. Looked great in pictures. Hotel is currently going through some renovations. On the website it says the pool is going through renovations and is closed until further noticed so we didn't pack bathing suits. Upon arrival, noticed the pool was available. Was disappointed. Loved the room. All in all, it was a pleasant evening at Room Mate Grace.

Loved it!Posted Jul 18, 2015
Joy allowed us to check in early after a 6 hour flight..we were very tired and that was great. Every day we would go out to explore the city and ce back to a very clean room. Thank you Samantha and Helen! The pool opened back up while we were staying and they made sure to let us know! The breakfast bar was small but their grapefruit juice was really good...usually I don't like grapefruit..Our six nights were overall very pleasant and I would totally come back to this hotel. The room is small but....I didn't go to NYC to hang out in my room all day. The size was perfect for my boyfriend and I. Thank you Roomate Grace! I look forward to booking in your Europe locations and Mexico City..if you love interior design like I do you will appreciate this hotel!

Newly renovated hotel steps from Times SquarePosted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Design, Bed Comfort
Cons: Gym equipment could be better - some heavier free weights…..
Location: Within steps is Times Square. Excellent location.
Room Mate Grace was very easy to check in and check out of. The newly renovated pool is open again and is very nice. The rooms are excellent, with very large showers with rainfall shower heads. Although the room isn't huge (this is NYC!), it is very well designed and the bed is excellent and comfortable. Toiletries are provided and well-scented. Would highly recommend.

On Going Renovations Might DisappointPosted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: The staff were very warm and friendly. The room was clean.
Cons: Fix the pool. Run dehumidifiers to get the swampy smell out of the halls.
Location: The location is just off Times Square and really was perfect. The room had double paned glass windows so it muffled all the noise.
I just want to say right at the top that the staff were very warm and helpful and friendly. The room was clean, the bed great. But (BIG but here) we specifically chose this location because it had a pool. I booked this for my granddaughter's 10th birthday and a pool was her only request. I booked it 4 months ago and called only last week to make sure everything was in order. I asked about the pool and was told "yes, we have a pool". Anyway, the pool has been closed for some time. They were working on it. I believe a pipe broke and a musty smell unfortunately permiates much of the hotel in the corridors, lobby and elevators. This was extremely disappointing and I feel they weren't honest. I also think Expedia should know about it.
