Nice hotel close to Theater District/Times SquarePosted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Location, comfort, atmosphere
Cons: There was a perfume smell that was pretty noticeable when you first walk in off of the street. It wasn't unpleasant, just a bit strong for my liking.
Location: Broadway Theaters, Times Square. Walk able to 5th Ave, Rockafeller Center, Library, Empire State Building, etc. Close to numerous subway lines.
My husband and I recently stayed at Row NYC for a long weekend get away. We LOVED the location - super close to a variety of subway lines, right around the corner (in both directions) from great theaters and super close to Times Square. The hotel was clean and staff were very friendly. Our room was perfect for what we needed. If you're someone who likes to spend a great deal of time in the room, this may not be for you but as we were in need of a clean, comfortable hotel in a great location, this was perfect. We loved how modern everything was and LOVED the decor and atmosphere.

A modern hotel close to Times SquarePosted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: The elevator system and fluffy beds.
Location: You are close to everything, 20 minutes from Grand Central Station, 5 minutes away from Times Square, and Broadway is literally around the corner.
My stay spanned 4 days and 3 nights and it was a blast. I was 5 minutes away from Times Square and the hotel I had to meet for conferences. Broadway was simply right around the corner if I wished, and this was my first time in New York so I wished. The beds were comfy and my view from the 8th floor was nice. I was very content with my stay.

nice hotelPosted Sep 14, 2014
The check in was easy, getting to the room was fater than normal hotels, you had to input your floor number and the device will tell you which elevator to board so you wont have to stop on every floor untill you reach your floor, the room was a bit smaler than expected but it was cumfy. In short this hotel is in my favorate list.

Great locationPosted Sep 11, 2014
Stayed here before when it was milford plaza. Location is great but dont expect a large room they are very small. When we arrived and got to our room it was filthy and i do mean filthy...they provided us with another room that was satisfactory. One more thing, they now have some weird system for the elevators ...its just stupid. Taking all of the above into consideration i would still recommend as the location is great for the price.

Pros: Cool vibe and modern lobby
Cons: Clean the bathrooms!
The bathrooms never smell clean. Do they use an disinfectant? I asked to move due to the Odor and I hate to move rooms.

We loved the locationPosted Sep 10, 2014
Just around the corner from the center of Times Square so your not in the middle of the crowds but you can be in a very short walk. Very convenient to subways and bus station. The hotel has been renovated and fixed up a bit however it is still an old building so it's not a perfect room. We were only in the room to rest and get ready and it worked out perfect. I can't wait to go back to NYC and I'm sure we will stay at Row NYC if the price is still reasonable. We were a little disappointed that we arrived at 12pm and the room wasn't available to us until 4:30pm but it was a communication issue between housekeeping and front desk so they comped us some beers in the hotel bar while waiting. Missing NYC so much already and can't wait to return!!!!

Central location... maybe a bit too centralPosted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Room was very clean, although extremely small. Lounge is very nice and comfortable, but drinks are quite pricey. Free Wifi is nice but extremely slow.
Cons: Baggage check is poorly located and the line often blocks access to the lobby. Check-in takes forever. Don't splurge for more than the standard room.
Location: Very (perhaps too) central unless that's what you're looking for. Tons of family restaurants, shops and theaters. Smack in the middle of the action.
This is an ok conversion of an older hotel (the old sign is still on the wall), but the rooms are really, really small. Conversion was evidently quick and dirty: bathtub and shower surround are a bad plastic retrofit job; there is at least 15 coats of flaky paint on every door and frame; wallpaper in bathroom is a patchwork; electrical was rerun in metal conduits on top of the walls. The refurbished elevator system is a jewel of efficiency, though. Staff is extremely courteous but somewhat inexperienced. Common areas were constantly dirty. I may be wrong, but I have seen this scenario before: new hotel, new investors, new team and new management team. Watch for prices to skyrocket once they fine tune their operation. This was the first time we booked a hotel near Times Sq. If you are looking for a quiet place, avoid that area. Particularly around 8th and 44th, which seems to be a hub for tourist buses, and of course hundreds of taxis since there are dozens of hotels there. All in all, a very noisy and sleepless experience. Weak stomachs beware of constant garbage accumulation (and resulting stench) on the surrounding sidewalks. If you want a room with a view, don't bother unless you get a south or south-east view. Everything else is only a view of the building across the street.
