Hotel in Theatre District

Posted Dec 19, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: The recent renovations are already beginning to look shabby -- furniture and paint was chipped, etc.
Location: Great location. Right in the the Theatre District. Easy walk to Macy's, Times Square, The "Rock", Radio City Music Hall and major subway hub.
Overall, a pleasant experience. Close to major attractions and subways.

Early, Christmas Break

Posted Dec 18, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Room and corridor clenliness is very poor and for the sake of dusting and hoovering, a great improvement would be achieved.
Location: Very close to the theatres and restaurants.
This hotel is in an excellent location and within easy walking distance to things in and around Times Square. Central Park, although further away, is easily do-able. The lifts don't have any internal floor buttons which is strange. The floor required is selected in a lobby keypad and then the designated lift is displayed. Catching that lift takes one to the correct floor. En-suite bathroom cleanliness was good and the daily supply of good cotton towels was effective. We didn't try the dining room or bar. On-site shop sells most incidentals. Check-in was done before the advertised 1600 time slot and check-out is easy. Left luggage facility needs re-organising as it blocks the entrance and is just hassle. They should remove the 'Milford' branding as it has been ROW NYC for three years.

Great location for getting around the sites close by and easy to get subway in time square for further a field Hotel is always busy around the entrance and bar Rooms are small , but your not in New York City to stay in your room the whole time so didn't mind so much, maid came and cleaned room each day, with fresh towels and soaps , found the whole stay at the ROW a excellent experience and would recommend and go back to stay !!

You get what you pay for.

Posted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Cleanliness. Staff response time. The interactions that I did have with staff were friendly, but they were tough to get a hold of.
Location: Two blocks from Times Square, in the Theater District.
The location was great, just a couple of blocks from Times Square, which was what I wanted. Cleanliness was acceptable, could have been more detailed, but it was perfect for what I needed: someplace in midtown where I could sleep and shower. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to check in 4 hours early for no extra fee. When does that ever happen?!

Don't arrive late

Posted Dec 17, 2014
I arrived after midnight, after 3 attempts to get key code to work, security finally came up with me to attempt to get in room. The reason for the issue was the room was actually occupied. It ended up taking almost an hour to get in my room after check-in. During this process I got to observe other people checking in. Everyone was having problems. One gentlemen had fully pre-paid for his room, and they said that his room was no longer available as he did not call to tell him he was still coming. He had to argue with them that he had a fully pre-paid room for the entire period while I was getting my room sorted out until they took care of him. Other than the late night hotel staff and process being broken, the location was good and room was clean and comfortable. They did end up crediting me for the first nights stay without me asking, but in the end I had just wanted to get up to a room and go to sleep . . . .

In the heart of Times Square

Posted Dec 17, 2014
The rooms at Row are tiny but, if you are looking for a space to sleep because you want to be in the heart of the city, this is an excellent choice. Just steps from the theatre district, Times Square and subway, you can't go wrong with Row. The Lounge is also great to relax, enjoy a bite to eat and experience live music.

Good Location

Posted Dec 17, 2014
Hotel is very good location close to broadway and time sqare. Taxi always front of the hotel easy to catch. The room is big for NYC.size but the bed is soft and too small for 2 person. and need to add around 20$ / night not in the room rate.

Nice hotel in a great location.

Row N.Y.C. is a very up to date stylish hotel. The rooms are like small studios. Only a block away from Time Square, and in the theatre district, the hotels location made for excellent accessibility to many amenities.

Location tops other considerations!

Posted Dec 17, 2014
The location was perfect and the prices were high but competitive. The rooms were very small but they had made that clear on their website so no surprise. I was impressed with the very efficient use of space and the trade-off among location, price and size made it worthwhile (especially having known in advance what to expect). The carpet in my room was a little dirty which was a turn-off but apart from that, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable - slept very well. The lobby area was usually very congested (like the rest of New York) but staff were friendly, helpful and moved people through the lines at the front desk and baggage check quickly and efficiently. There's a bank of computers and printers available in the lobby that was very helpful too. I would recommend this hotel as long as you understandd the trade-offs. Unless they have bigger rooms available, I wouldn't want to share one of these rooms even with my sister or best friend.
