“Basic comforts”
Although this hotel had very few amenities and seemed to have seen more afulent times in the past, the bedroom was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was basic but clean (it looked as though it had recently been upgraded), though would benifit from shelves for toilet bags and towel rails. The reception staff were friendly and helpful as were the cleaning staff. If the hotel continues to work on upgrading the rooms and especially the public areas it would be an excellent low budget base for visitors to Manhattan.
“Can't wait to go back”
From check-in to check-out the staff was courteous and very helpful with a working knowledge of the surrounding area and the city in whole. This hotel is conveniently located and reasonably distanced from where ever you may desire to go within New York City. The rooms are comfortable and privacy is well respected, not to mention well kept even during your stay, without worry of any missing valuables that is most noted when staying away from home. Over-all i say this hotel is highly rated in my book. Can't wait to go back.
“good option for travel in a budget”

“Can't wait to go back.”
The Hotel is nice, excelent location but don't have bathroom in apartaments, this is really surprised me. I didn't know that. They have 2 shared bathrooms on each floor. However, everything is very clean and works good. I had good times.
“Last "hotel" I ever want to stay again”
-Clean? They never heared of that word before -The heating was not managable, we had 104 F in the room and even an open window could not help -Bathroom was disgusting. -Had the wrong room the first night. Had a bunk bed though we booked a "normal" room. -Never ever again!
“no frills, but great”
This was a no frills hostel. It was great for what it was. Great location, easy subway access, very helpful staff, clean room and bathroom, and a great price. I would stay there again anytime.
“Hostel experience... clean, safe, handy location”
This is a hostel more then a hotel... but safe, warm and dry. And clean! You have to share a bothroom... 2 bathrooms to a floor. Usually has European well mannered young people as clients. Have never had to complain about noise. Close to the Red Line subway. Very close to places to eat, shops, a market, drugstore etc. Just 2 blocks from Central Park, and across the Park is the Guggenheim. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff does a great job of keeping the place clean and picked up. One tiny elevator. No TV, no "services". Just overhead lighting... no reading lamp. Beautiful private garden next door... you can peek over the privacy wall from the 4th floor stairwell and enjoy a beautiful view. We will save some money and stay here again!
“never again!!!!”
The Royal Park Hotel is not that royal and even not an hotel. Dirty, noisy, the window was broken so we can not open it; really hot so and smelly. The bath room for all the level (10 rooms); 30 or 45 minutes to get it free!!! Dirty with the window, for this one can not close it so relly cold!!! do not stay is this crap hotel
“Low Budget, Low Expectations, Low Quality”
If you expect to pay less, you'll get less. You get less at the Royal Park Hotel. Half the bathrooms didn't work, the wi-fi seemed permanently broken, and the staff was less than helpful. That's what all the reviews said before I went, that's what I expected for the money I paid, and that's exactly what I got. No surprises. It sucked, I paid very little, we're even.
“Not Impressed”
Our room was on the front of the hostel. It was extremely noisy, with LOUD traffic all night long. There were no rooms available with a bathroom so we had a shared bathroom which I would not do again.
