A deal in an excellent spot in Manhattan

Posted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: Renewed old hotel, which means the roof is high and the rooms are spacious, NYC doesn't waste space like this anymore.
Cons: Internet and breakfast had to be purchased separately.
Location: 2 blocks south of Central Park. near Columbus square. 2 mins from 2 metro stations that can get you anywhere in the city.
got a deal through Expedia for $103/night the price was much more than other cities, but compared to other hotels in Manhattan this was the best by far.

Location is perfect -- close to everything

Posted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: The hotel is within walking distance of Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Centre, Broadway shows, and across the street from Carnegie Hall.
Cons: The hotel could use some touch-ups, but it was very clean and well-maintained overall for an older building.
Location: Times Square, Central Park, Broadway plays, Rockefeller Centre, Carnegie Hall
My girfriend and I had a weekend getaway to NYC and we stayed at the Salisbury Inn due to its affordable price and excellent location.

The hotel has great location, almost in the heart of Times Square. The staff is excellent and very hospitable. My family and I had a wonderful weekend in New York because of the great hospitality and location of our hotel.

Excellent Location and Price

Posted Jan 27, 2015
You can't get a better location for Midtown Manhattan near the museums, Central Park and Time Square stuff like that. the parking garage is just around the corner. Yeah the decorations are from like the 1970s but the room is really really big we had a suite with that you do living room and an extra area with another table in the bedroom with two beds were big too yeah the bathroom was tiny and really old-fashioned. But the price was really good and the beds were comfy enough. Find a step overly welcoming but they were helpful when asked.

albergo in pieno centro

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: zona centrale e stanze molto ampie

Awesome location, pleasant stay

This hotel is perfectly located steps from Times Square and Central Park. It's an older hotel, so if you are looking for modern glam decor, this is not the place for that. BUT, the Salisbury is well maintained, clean and generally quiet (at least it was when my husband and I were there). I'm super pregnant, so I needed a twice as many pillows to be comfortable, and housekeeping honoured my request with no problems. Front of house staff was also kind and helpful in general as well. I just wish the wifi was available for free, but you can only get it for an extra charge. I guess most hotels are like that anyways. There's a Starbucks across the street with free wifi anyways. Would definitely stay here again! It was a great price and a good experience.

Room was extremely hot and required us to turn the radiator off and keep the window open all day.

Reasonable Hotel great location

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Location was its best feature
Cons: Elevators are slow
Location: Took an early morning walk through Central Park,
Good staff. super location near several subway stops, and a close walk to times square, Rockefeller center, and shopping districts. Hotel gave us a room upgrade which was very large, and able to accommodate an after-dinner party with friends.

Salisbury Hotel New York

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: The Hotel was warm, comfortable and clean and in a great location
Cons: The Hotel is a little dated, but in some ways added to its charm. It would have been nice to have had a kettle etc in the room. Free Wifi.
Location: The Hotel is on 57th west street and only about 10 min walk to central park and 15 mins to Times Square, so location was perfect.
Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Excellent location for all that we wanted to do. Hotel is a little dated, but this added to its charm. Rooms were comfortable, clean and very warm. Had the breakfast a couple of times and it was, infact, good value for money. Would definitely go to the hotel again.
