Very convenient location, lovely room

Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: Very comfortable room, excellent value for money.
Location: Central Park just a short stroll away, subway very close. Excellent restaurants with huge choice.
We were only making a 36 hour transit stop, very convenient to subway and hop on hop off buses. Good choice of restaurants close by.

Good hotel close to Central Park

Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: Most of the rooms have little kitchenette's - fridge, microwave, sink, coffee maker - which is really handy.
Cons: The rooms and hotel could be updated, but then the hotel rate would skyrocket.
Location: It's just a short walk to Carnegie Hall, metro stops and Central Park. There is a 24-hour supermarket opposite the hotel.
Have been to this hotel three times now over a period of six years. I think it is good value for money, and it's location is great. It's an old-style hotel, but is comfortable.

Old-World New York Charm

Posted Aug 1, 2015
Staying at the Salisbury was a total delight for me and my family (2 adults, a teenager, and a 10-year-old). I knew the location was wonderful, but we were all pleased with how professional and friendly the staff were--and how generous they were with their time in bringing us roll-away beds and helping us find an alternate elevator down when the main elevator was too crowded. The hotel is older and dignified, and I know some people would like more renovations, but I prefer the hotel as it is--it feels like stepping back in time. Everything was clean and spacious, the water pressure was wonderful, and again, the staff were all marvelous. I would stay here again any time.

Guter Ausgangspunkt für Sightseeingtour

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Lage, für Familien gut geeignet
Cons: Nein

Comfortable, big room bath, and closet

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location . . . and the comfortable bed for the short time I was there.
Cons: Ice machine at the very least on the floors. Easy to use -- I am very competent computer operator -- Internet system, faster connections, instruction
Location: Convenient. Good fresh market across street with great take-out sushi!
Great bed, quiet room, missed not having a restaurant or bar in hotel. Very disappointed with hotel Internet connection I paid for in lobby -- spent minimum amount for 15 min., but was unable to get on my Google account for mail and to print my travel vouchers -- added more time and still could not print information. A waste of money and about 1 hr. of valuable time.

Heritage hotel with good location

Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Location, Room cleanliness
Cons: Wifi could be free! and breakfast could be complimentary - these are hygiene things one expects typically from any hotel.
Location: Best part is it is close to Times Square. So you can visit the rest of the city in the day and enjoy Times Square in the night - as it is very closeby
Slightly old style heritage hotel but with extremely good location - walking distance from Times Square, Central Park and Subway Metro Station which can take you to any place in Manhattan. Wifi is not free - which typically hotels of this class should offer. Apart from that, it is a nice hotel overall.

Drei Tage in New York City.
